It’s a shame how expensive it is to try and eat healthy yet a family of 4 can go eat off of the dollar menu at a fast food place that is super unhealthy. I consider myself very fortunate, but I’m aware that there’s a lot of people that can’t shop at Whole Foods or other places where they can afford high quality items.
@nancygatto49632 жыл бұрын
Agree. We need to take out a loan to buy all this lol. Very sad.

This is true. Spending $10 on a tiny loaf of bread is insane especially if you’re a family of 4 - can finish this in two days - maybe even in a day. Whole Foods has some decent good sales but their regular price items are flat out outrageous.
@coralholt63632 жыл бұрын
Just wanted to put this out there for those watching: you can most definitely eat an even more nutritious diet without all of these expensive packaged “health foods.” All you have to do is focus on eating whole plant-based foods like fruits, vegetables, legumes, nuts, seeds. These foods are so much less expensive than a $10 loaf of bread, and you know exactly what you’re putting in your body without the worry of reading the label on an ultra processed loaf of “bread”

Yes, you are absolutely correct. But I think a lot of people don't want to spend ti.e to cook from scratch. And I think this channel is amazing about teaching people how to read labels on packaged and processed food. Plus, not everyone can make thier own ice cream or pasta...

Well said! If you prepare and make things home made you can eat good quality foods way cheaper! "The always on my phone on social media" crowd wants everything made for them. And delivered to their doors!

Very true. I’m Indian, Pakistani and from the Middle East. We just grew up eating fresh food everyday. We made vegetarian curries with ginger, garlic, tumeric and fresh spices. It costs way less! But, I think Bobby’s information is good for when we want a quick and easy fix! And how to read ingredients for certain snacks etc.

@@debbytidwell9870 I was initially told there was no medication for my condition and I had to wait and see. Had I not started to eat better, I may not be in the health I am today. Then one dr. Put me on thyroid meds for a month but it didn’t do anything for me so I stopped. Definitely see a functional doctor which is what I did but they will guide you with food first before they feel you need meds.

Not gonna lie, as a single mom with a lower income I’m sad I can’t afford nearly any of this. I know I’m not Bobby’s target audience but it always makes me feel like I’m failing a bit as a mom. I try and buy here and there items like this but I just can’t with most items. I almost wish I was still ignorant of this type of stuff. The fact that you are educating yourself about proper nutrition and want to provide better quality food for your family just shows that you are an amazing mom. Do the best that you can within your means. Start off with a solid foundation, switching to whole foods and eliminating processed sugary items. Not sure if you shop at Aldis or have one near you, but their house brand has an amazing budget friendly selection of high quality organic food items you can check out.

At 77 I have to be so careful what I eat - I follow your channel and love it - Costco is 10 miles away so I don’t shop there - a Whole Foods store is going up about a mile away so that will be nice - have not been able to eat oatmeal so will have to give this a try - even though I buy organic, grass fed, cage free eggs, unless I add something to them like hummus on a hard boiled egg, or low fat cream cheese, they go right thru me - I am gluten free, low carb and low fat since having my gall bladder out - so many changes but feel much better - thank you Bobby for sharing all your knowledge - it is so helpful

Sometimes throw this mix in plain org Greek yogurt or eat like cereal in almond milk with stevia. All these things just google keto whatever KZfaq. I even found keto lemon meringue pie which is my favorite I will make this winter. Anything you want is on KZfaq.

This weekend I went off track A LOT. Yeah.... I am paying for it now. Just not feeling great. Stomach is a mess. I am 51. I do have to say, the foods you eat are very pricey. I do what I can to eat as clean as I can. We have athletes in the house (3) age 19 to 14. They eat mostly what my wife and I eat. We spend thousands a month on food. Eating clean doesn't help that. The good good thing is we make most of our food. We cut corners when life gets real busy but we also try to plan a head so we have things that we can grab on the way out the door. It's not perfect but it helps. Costco Is our 2nd home too. Also $900 to $2000 a month goes to that house payment too. Depending if we are entering, pool parties... ect... Christmas hosting too Congratulations on being in your very late 43's 👏. Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄 Enjoy, Paul West Sacramento California
