I used to buy Japanese versions of this called Popin' Cookin'. I always had to be very careful not to spill any powder to get the optimal results. You'd be surprised how little powder can drastically change the consistency. I doubt PoundLand has the same QA on measurements but I did see quite alot of mess on the sofa xD
@michael.d.3 жыл бұрын
Absolutely true! Because the proportions are so small, even a couple drops of water can make things come out way differently. I remember making the Kracie Popin’ Cookin’ sushi, and getting the consistency of the rice anywhere near correct was always a pain (had to start with slightly less water, then added a drop at a time so I didn’t get a mushy, disgusting mess). Then there was the burger one where you had to microwave the bun, patty, and fries… all of them were so fun, but getting them right could be really hard!
@dangevad3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, they're available on amazon. The popin' cookin' ones come in multiple styles. Like burger and fries, meat flavoured sweets anyone? No? Yeah I've tried, it's not great

Also to all the people saying he added one then mixed and then added the other...well the pink one was only one-part so there goes that theory.

my man, there are SO many of these sorts of kits out there. if you're ever lost for content, you could make an entire series out of "weird japanese diy food kits". it's not just candy either, they've got kits to make miniature pizzas and burgers and sushi, all made out of powder and water, that SUPPOSEDLY tastes like the real things (it doesn't, at all). either way would love to see you do more of these monstrosities :)

I wish someone would do a video where they combine a bunch of those kits together to make one big thing - either a bunch of the same kit, mixed together to make a bigger version of whatever it is - Or a bunch of different ones all at the same time to make a big ala carte buffet or something. If you combined a bunch of the same ones together to make a bigger version of the thing, then you'd have to come up with something else to use for the molds and adjust the cooking times, but it'd be interesting to see if it'd work, and how it'd taste.

I just started the vid, but just seeing this item, I have to say I strongly suspect it is based off a popular Japanese line of products that has the same premise of making your own gummies, and sometimes other miniature (edible) foods, it's by Kracie and called Popin' Cookin'. It's not just the idea that's the same, the packets of powder, molds and mixing spoon are pretty much identical in make too! Edit: after actually seeing the items actually out of the box now, the spoon is much worse quality compared to thr Japanese ones and is like 25% smaller. Also the Kracie kits don't come with plastic toys of creepy ice cream holders with faces on.

Whatever that was, it made for an entertaining video. Nice shovel.

(I do see how you made 'stroops' into 'some sort of waffle'. But the 'stroop' part of the stroopwafel is 'syrup' in Dutch. Has nothing to do with the waffl-y bit).
