Change the doors and keep these and have a go at pulling the dents out when you have any free time between projects. That way you'll be learning more, plus if you do a decent job you'll have a couple of spare doors for another project late later on

Hi Mark, if you can get two doors in colour why not change them and then when you have some spare time repair the two doors you take off so you have them for a future project in the long term they will save you money 👍👍

Believe the oil pressure light! If it goes off straight away after the engine starts I'd say it was fine, if it needs a rev before it goes out or flickers/glows then you have a problem. Most of the problems are caused by people using the wrong oil grade specification for the engine. It's like DPF blockages aren't helped by people using standard diesel oil in the engine rather than low ash specification oil cos it costs more. Think it was hit on the OSF and shunted into a ditch on the near side which had a hedge. 100 quid for 2 good doors is cheap and would be cheaper than paint. You could do with one of those little scissor lifts, that would fit your space.

Ford had a dodgy supply of them cam belts where the belt started to break down and block the oil pick up, but i believe they sorted this out now. Only older models affected.

For £50 a door definitely worth changing. You could probably get £50 a door back by selling the damaged ones on eBay. Free then!

Hi Mark, I think the oil pickup/ blockage issue is more down to the lack of oil changes When you inspected yours you can see the oil and sump are clean which is a good sign of regular oil change, generally engines have this type of pick with the little mesh, I can see any reason for it to get blocked other than because of old oil, gunky residue in the sump ! Also when will the abarth be back to finish it off! itching to see the road test 👍😉

Even though it's a non turbo you will sell that easy enough as young drivers will mostly only be able to afford that to insure. I have had the pleasure of doing a wet belt once. It's a terrible design and money spinner for Ford but they have stopped doing now I think.
