In '05 or '06 was on a 13 hour road trip and was playing Fire Red and found my first shiny. A gastly. I loved it. Used it for a good couple hours when we made a stop for food and was forced to do a quick save and get out of the car. Turns out the game didn't save and I lost my gastly. I immediately shut the game and listened to Avril Lavigne for the rest of the trip staring out the window.

I was playing spore on my old laptop once, I was about to progress to the space stage when I encountered a glitch that softlocked me for no apparent reason, it didn't freeze, but I couldn't progress, click on anything, or even leave the game, I got so pissed off that picked up my mouse and attacked the screen with it, the screen broke.

My dad was playing a N64 Tennis game and the computer opponent was easily returning each hit my dad sent to the opposite side of the court (N64 tennis didn't factor in stamina) and my dad yelled at the TV "I should be wearing the Sh*t out of this guy!" I laugh about it to this day.

I don't rage. When I get angry enough, I'm usually starting to click a bit more roughly and sometimes I let an internal scream escape at 10%, but I don't really rage. I don't think I've got the mental ability to rage, sadly, so I'm not able to externalize properly and the anger stays in until something really good happens

Back when I was relatively new to Terraria, I found myself unable to beat the Moon Lord. I ended up starting a new run on a new world.

In Undertale, I struggled with Undyne so much that I ripped my room apart and broke my chair. The chair was wooden so I got splinters. Thankfully I had a no gaming chair on the way from Amazon. Also, did you know you can get rid of splinters by placing bread on the splinters and waiting a while? Shout out to my grandma for that one🤣

I not really having money to replace things when I was younger or now have always been very careful to not break things during my gamer rages. Usually I immediately put my controller down when I feel my blood pressure rising like that. I do remember accidentally killing a Shiny Flygon and I just stood up turned to my bed and punched the center of my mattress like eight times before jumping on it and just raging into my pillow.

I have never raged the closest i got was getting angry at my broken eight key and attempting to pull it off and failing (miserably) just stunned in silence

I was playing Halo 4 multiplayer with my brothers and the younger one got so frustrated that when the batteries of his controller died, he violently shook them out of the casing and they bounced off the floor and hit the TV. Breaking it.

As a fully grown man child, i make sure sure not not abuse my expensive controllers. I just slam my fist onto my thighs if the fail was bad enough.

I never understood breaking the game in a rage. That's just money down the drain. Then again logic usually is on it's smoke break when you get super angry. I've done some things I'm not proud of when angry before.

The first Splatoon was on the Wii U and during load times you could play a mini game on the game pad. It came with one free mini game but you could unlock the others with certain amiibo.

I have two: 1. I was alone at home, playing something on my Wii U (don't remember what; might've been the final challenge of Mario 3D World) with the Gamepad charging. I got mad and threw down the Gamepad, but with how the charger was set up, it snagged on some pottery next to it and sent it tumbling onto the ground, smashing it. Thankfully, I found some gorilla glue and fixed it, and I don't think my parents found out. 2. I got stuck on the final boss of Metroid Dread - I even had a walkthrough pulled up, but just couldn't pull off the strategy. I rage quit, stepped away from the game for almost a year, and when I finally came back to it, I beat it in, like, two tries.

Just today, Rain World, Spearmaster Playthrough, i died like 40 times in Underhang and got so mad i yelled "im going to drown you in acid you stupid purple cat" the moment someone walked into my workplace

I have three that come to mind. One I was playing Mortal Kombat on ps1 with my cousin. I beat her and her reaction was to instantly throw the controller and hit me in the forehead. She did apologize because she kinda blacked out and threw it not thinking. Second one similar thing. I was playing the Impossible Game on PS3 on the last level and was struggling. Threw the controller and flew right over my friend’s head and cracked. Decided I shouldn’t play that game anymore after that. Lastly I was playing Ultra Street Fighter 4 online. At this point I had started getting really good at the game understanding match ups and stuff like that. So of course I got super angry when the guy baited me into making a dumb mistake that still makes me angry til this day and punished my back dash. I proceeded to slam my hand on my arcade stick and 3 screws went flying out. My hand was sore for a few seconds as well.

I got so mad at one of the Floor 12s in Genshin that i just went and ate an entire pint of ice cream and proceeded to throw up bc im lactose intolerant. Worth it.

A couple years back I got really mad while playing a game (don't remember what it was) and I threw the controller on my bed and scared my brother's Guinea pigs. Felt really bad about that one

I had a bad habit of aggressively chewing the item in my hands for my rage moments as a kid (it’s why my GameBoy Advance has bite marks on the ends). While playing Pokémon Colosseum on GameCube, I got so frustrated leading up to the final boss that I chewed off the protective rubber on the left analog stick. ... Found out way too long after beating the game that Shadow Pokémon could actually be caught and you *didn’t* need to kill them right away. I never even attempted to catch them because I had an unshakable belief in my little kid psyche that stealing Pokémon was wrong. Still use that same controller whenever I feel like hooking up my GameCube

When i was younger my mom kept having to get more phones because i kept getting so mad at the game on her phone that i bit it with my sharp tooth and completely broke it... This kept happening and to this day she still things i was just throwing it Also this happened today but when playing Celeste i was on the B side to the core which was very hard and i was contemplating quitting from how angry and tired of it i was but i kept going but then when i was getting close to finishing it i saw my recording was paused... 1 minute into the video Im probably not going to be playing for a while

Is passive raging a thing? Instead of rage quitting, I remember what sets me apart from my rage-filled brother and try again. My brother on the other hand rages at everyone in the game and calls everyone who kills him a hacker… it’s funny to hear his raging, but not when it affects his relationship with me and the rest of my family.

I haven't broken anything because of gamer rage, just your typical yelling and cursing, but I did recently rage quit Whatsapp after finishing arguing with one person, uninstalled it, re-installed it later and then spent all night recovering messages I've, as it turns out, haven't backed up since 2022, so that was stupid.

My anger is internalized, so I don't take it out on consoles or games. Those things cost a lot.

One time as a kid, around 13 or so, I couldn't beat a single optional battle in a game and I was so mad that I stopped playing the game and didn't come back to finish it until I was in my early 20s

2:24 OKAY BUT THIS IS SO REAL- I have a GBA The Little Mermaid cartridge that's been in my collection since I was probably 7 or 8 years old and had my first GBA SP. I'm not kidding when I say that I still haven't completed this game, and I'm 23 now. I have never once seen the ending of the GBA The Little Mermaid game and I honestly don't think I ever will. I wasnt the rager but I was playing Smackdown vs Raw 2010 with my older brother and his best friends for the first time. As a younger brother they all expected me to suck and beat me every time. I procceded to destroy everyone and win the ladder match. My brothers friends took it well but proceeded to laugh at my brother because he was the last one standing with me and he took the peer pressure so much that he grabbed me tightly and pushed me out of OUR bedroom and close and locked the door. I guess I wont be defending my championship.

My brother was trying to beat all the "Break the target" minigames in Super Smash Bros Melee, couldn't figure out how to get out of Young Links, got angry left the room to do something with his friend, I took the controller and figured wall jumping was possible and got all but 2 of the targets before I got bored and killed myself to play as a different character. My brother came back and demanded his turn, I gave him the controller and left to go back to my room. I could hear him yell "HOW THE F!CK DID YOU GET THAT MANY TARGETS!" through the wall. I had to go back and show him wall jumping.

I threw Pokémon Silver into the ground and broke it when Togepi refused to hatch as a female, broke the game so that I couldn't play anymore, very sad day of my childhood. 😢 I had a level 100 Feraligatr and had spent a lot of time on the game, so I was devastated when I realized the game was actually broken 💔

Me and my cousin were playing Minecraft on Xbox with split screen, we just made the world when he pushed me into a deep cave and I died. So I did the same to him and he died, we didn't even have anything so it's not like it set us back or anything but he got so mad he pushed me off the stool I was sitting on so I fell back into a bedside cabinet. I was fine but pretty bruised and in pain for the first hour or so. Tldr: Playing Minecraft with my cousin, we started a new world then he killed me so I killed him. He got mad and pushed me into a cabinet which hurt 🥲

I punched my computer it made the screen leak made up the story that it fell. then I banged on the keys to hard that the space bar did not work and the power botton sinked in and to top it all off the vent system exploded. Safe to say I got a new computer after that 😂😂
