So it's safe to say a lot of games journalists are not fans of Palworld and are also not a fan of you liking it either. This is one of the most hilarious twists I've ever seen in gaming.

Wait... That censor thing happens in the game?
@oldmanbanjo5 ай бұрын
yeah my bad but the rest of the article is still hilarious. Tbh, I've never had the heart to kill any of my pals so I never found out!! Truth be told in Palworld I'm full on PETA. Will pin this.

@@oldmanbanjo THIS. People keep complaining about the cruelty in Palworld and they never realize that cruelty is a CHOICE. You CAN be kind and I think that matters even more BECAUSE you have the choice to be cruel. Also the censoring in-game is brilliant because it makes the animation look so much more brutal than it actually is. I mean...you're just smacking a Pal with a cleaver. You do that all the time in combat. But the censor mosaic implies so much worse!

Yes people do but it's very few and I mean like maybe 1% or 2% of people but that's about it

I've taken the filter off of my game animation for the clever function, and im not going to lie, I see why they did it. It's not to hide the brutality, it's to hide the fact that you are literally just bonking them with a clever and it looks absolutely silly from an animation standpoint 😂

Just about to say the thing. Also I like the censor thing, it looks funnier that way

"If Pikachu was real, we'd have Pikachu power plants!" Yes. We would. That's literally IN Pokemon! Very early episode of the anime (like episode 2 or 3), the Pokemon Center loses power and so they run the backup generator on a team of Pikachus. Actually part of WHY people like Palworld: the anime always showed all these cool non-combat uses of Pokemon but the games never do. Having dozens of Pals running around your base doing stuff like that is a DELIGHT.

😂😅 no No one does They are getting obliterated online. Most locked their accounts soon after posting their articles. Some real bitch pussy shit. Noone listens to them. Case and point is PalWorld. These clowns bash the game yet more and more people buy and keep playing it.

Nah, I can't take this dude serious in the slightest. It just reeks of "hello fellow kids"

The funny thing is that most of the "animal cruelty" that we see in Palworld actually happens in the Pokemon world too if you pay attention to lore and pokedex entries, the difference that pokemon paints everything with kid friendly paint when in reality is not that different of the shit we see in Palworld, guns aside of course.

You're not the first person to comment this. My girlfriend, who's a big pokemon fan now wants me to do a deep dive into animal cruelty in pokemon.

The word hoist is absolutely still used in contemporary English. It should be noted it is rarely used as a past tense word though, hence the existence of "hoisted" as you yourself used in the phrase.
@oldmanbanjo4 ай бұрын
So, it is, but (and I say this as someone who's marked essays for Yale and Oxford students) you'd likely be marked down for 'anachronistic english" depending on the marking. That shows you how damn subjective this crap is some times. Also hoist, in the sense of 'lifted up' is as far as I can tell distinct from the Shakespearean. Where as hoist in modern english is active "hoist me up please" is like totally normal modern English. But the past-tense verb used here seems to mean something more like 'fallen upon' as far I can tell - which is sort weirdly the opposite. Never was big into the history of English though my background is in Latin and Greek.
@Person012344 ай бұрын
@@oldmanbanjo That's fair enough. That usage of the word certainly isn't modern.

They won't say a single word about characters like eternity from streetfighter 6 or say anything about GTA 6.

So - using the cleaver, the *game* pixelates the kill - not the game journalists. But in order to know that, you would need to use the cleaver, or find out from someone else who has. I learned it from a KZfaqr myself, I haven't even unlocked the cleaver.

You have no idea how I've enjoyed Todd's face :D The dude is burned as a game developer, and we will remember this NPC as Greedthesda's mouthpiece. And I'm saying it as a modder who played their games for thousands of hours.

forgive them for they hath forgotten what "fun" meant... cause yea, if people still feels copy paste games that never changed besides how pretty they are are fun, just deluding themselves... palworld's success is all they need to know that this game is doing something right.. move on, make your own games better, be nicer to your employees, all that jazz, and maybe youll be the talk of the town again. just like the good old days, when floppy disks where a thing XD

Lol woke journalism is lifeless and tone deaf. The every day person either has now seen it for what it is, or are just fed up with it.

PC Gamer is such a joke nowadays. I remember them being unbiased and non-political back in the 90s to early 2000s. Only covered games, graphical technology etc. Nowadays, it is a front for woke liberal bullshit.
