Really enjoyed this episode. It's the only time ever I was ahead of you in a game (Cyberpunk) and really enjoyed listening about it for half the show (despite the comments below, I know it's got problems but I've been enjoying it). 20 questions totally beat me this week, I was so sure it would be Battle Arena Toshiden - never heard of that game series before at all. Dead or Alive and Soulcalibur both had games released in the last 2 years. Tekken's last game was less than 5 years ago. Pretty sure both would be considered ongoing series.

I'd be interested in listening to them talk about AAA and AA games. I remember AA games being a fairly regular thing back in the day but then especially at the beginning of last gen it kind of became that you just had these big AAA CoD like games and then your cheaper smaller indies that were digital only. But now I feel like it's starting to swing back. AAA games have gotten so massive that it isn't viable to make as many anymore which is why so many studios are following the release one game and keep updating it instead of making a sequel model. But that has left room for AA games to sneak back in I feel. You get things like Maneater, World War Z, etc. I really like it I missed having games like that, that were kind of in between massive AAA games and small indies.

In cyberpunk, they make jokes in some of the side quest descriptions about how you're wasting time by helping people and ignoring your own massive problem. I like how they acknowledge it that way

I always thought that was such a cool one that could have kept going. They had a 3rd one in the series as a launch title for the ps3 i think didnt they? shame that it fizzled out.

Man, I got back into gaming because of Dead Island. I bought a PS3 specifically for it. It was so much fun. As for Cyberpunk 2077, I'm glad to hear you guys either like it or love it, because there seems to be such a big echo chamber of negativity around it. I am absolutely loving it on my gaming laptop.

Dying light 2 is delayed indefinitely because Techlands lead writer left the company to pursue other endeavours and Chris Avellone was fired due to sexual misconduct allegations. Shame because the game looks promising.

The waypoints and mini map does distract from the journey between locations. A way point mapped on the actual road would have been better!

I got it after question 13 when they said play as a person part of the time, but I got the name wrong lol . I thought the games name was Blood Fury lol. I loved Bloody Roar when I was little.

Riperdocs sell a shard for 100k that lets you reallocate all your points good for a complete change of play style. On ripper doc page go to trade, tbf it’s easy to miss. Also go through and reply to all your messages on your phone allot of missions only end when you reply to the message.

I made a post about this very topic, detailed a list of the ones I was waiting for, and a summarized version of their development timelines, and posted it on numerous "gaming" subreddits, and every one got removed by an overzealous mod because unless you are posting memes they dont care about solid open discussion regarding gaming.

I love ya Sam, but turtle rock is developing back 4 blood. The same developer as left 4 dead. Yes, they’re ripping off I suppose, but they’re ripping off their own game. And hopefully it’s dope.

Starchild was a PSVR game, but I think the publisher collapsed, the devs don’t own the rights to the game or something like that. Sony isn’t/wasn’t committed enough to either acquire the game/team or matchmaker to get the game finished/released on PSVR.

I was under the impression that Michel Ancel departure from BGAE2 was also due to allegations about his workplace behaviour. Whilst I’m happy to be corrected in this particular instance, overall I’m disappointed how IGN never seem to mention the issues at Ubisoft whilst talking about their games.

Stealth is totally the wrong way to play Cyberpunk. Just get a power Revolver and Silencer and youre set for stealth. Key is to put at least 18 points in Tech for crafting, at least 18 in reflexes for the gun perks and augments and put the rest in the preferred way to body and intelligence.

Deep Down's trademark was renewed last year I think. The team was disbanded but maybe they'll come back to release it for PS5.

Where is Bayonetta 3? Nintendo should also do Metroid Zero Mission, Fusion, Samus Returns and Prime Trilogy all on Switch.

i got the secret ending at 40%. I got it on my first playthrough without even trying lol, my choices just led me to it.

Ive finished cyberpunk. Its nothing special. I think this game needed 2 more years of development to really polish it up. The idea is mostly there, we can see the vision CDPR had for the game, its just that it was not fullfield at all... Beyond the bugs there are a toon of problems with this game that should not exist on a game that is released to the public..

I have a question - how are we supposed to know about a secret ending if there are specific dialogue choices and action to achieve the secret ending? If we make those choices automatically - it just becomes 'the ending', right? How are we supposed to know it's secret if it's secret? Surely we only know it's secret by being told... at which point, it's not secret! Right?! FOMO my ass!

The car sounds are awful in cyberpunk as well

So throwing knives is garbage, not being able to pick knives back up and then also needing to go and equip a new knife is a horrible system. Overture with a silencer is the only revolver you should be using in stealth, a vendor can also sell a legendary version. But yea endgame and fighting the final boss was just quick hacking the little guys and shooting the boss in face like a dozen times

I've lost interest entirely in Cyberpunk... listening to chat on it at this point is draining. I don't know why people are giving it any time, I mean maybe once the messy shitheap has been cleaned up and works properly but until then your just helping advertise a buggy mess people shouldn't be paying for. The game should be starved of all attention until it's actually ready to be launched.

Between Beyond and Scoop it was another podcast(50 mins+) on CP2077 or CDPR. Man. I couldn’t take it. So tired of hearing about the game. I’m glad it’s good for those that enjoy. But it’s out now. BG&E 2 is a prequel. If you want more info Ubisoft has their own updates. I think it’s called Space Monkey. Biomutant is coming this year. After games like NMS, Anthem, D1/D2, and many others I refuse to support a dev that releases games that are that broke or the dev, missing features, didn’t learn. CP2077 is the worst of these. What they did to the PS4/X1 gamers is no excuse. Great that people can play on pc. But the ps4/X1 were considered next gen when this was announced. Yet they completely screwed those fans over. Unless people stop buying these games that are busted, not finished, or missing features at launch we will keep getting them and will get worse. There many other games and rpgs that just as good or better.
