GE2020: WP’s Sengkang GRC team speaks to media

The Workers’ Party (WP) team for Sengkang GRC spoke to the media for the first time on Tuesday (July 7), after team member Raeesah Khan apologised for two social media posts that are the subject of a police investigation.
The team did not elaborate on the matter, but spoke about the work they are doing in Sengkang.
Ms He Ting Ru says the team may be young, but they bring a lot to the table, while Dr Jamus Lim was asked about his performance at the recent television debate.

Just wondering whether WP was aware of the comments made in 2018 by Ms Khan before nominating her. Noted she read from a script to share her "remorse". Will I risk my Seng Kang flat fall in value if WP is voted in?🤔

The question is, whether or not her post was made in 2018 or she has apologised and like you said read from a script, why is she now made to looked by the opposition supporters as if she is a victim of gutter politics. Every opposition supporter claims "Oh she's humble to apologise let's move on" the double standard practice and claim gutter politics. Singaporeans by now are fully aware that is an offence in making insensitive remarks. Why did she have to read from script? Many have been charged for offences they committed years ago. Does it allow for everyone who commits an offence to stand in front of a Judge, apologise and show remorse for the Judge to say "OK you apologised let's move on". Raeesh Khan compares two different cases to be equal because of the amount of money involved. It is based on the severity of the crime. Example: 3 people involved in a scam, 15 years old, 18 years old and 21 years. There will be different charges for all 3 taking into consideration their age, what role they played and how much loss the victim suffered in the scam. This shows how shallow her knowledge is on how the judicial system works. She should have done her research since she is educated not post insensitive remarks based on face value. Reliable? The value of your flat will not fall because of who you vote. It depends on demand of the location.

If you had watched the National Day rally speech, you would know that the government will implement the MERS project to increase the value of the flat when reaching the end of it's value. For further details on that project you will have to search the web because I cannot exactly remember the details.
