Is your acid reflux making you uncomfortable and interrupting your sleep? Was it something you ate, are you stressed or some combination of the two? This guided meditation for healing acid reflux can bring relief through relaxation and guided imagery.
The symptoms of acid reflux, heartburn, indigestion or GERD (whatever you choose to call it) can be associated with stress. With the severity of reflux relating to how much stress you’re dealing with. And it is one of the most prevalent gastrointestinal diseases in Western countries.
Stress alters the GI tract due to the gut-brain relationship and can influence how much pain you experience from your reflux symptoms. Of course, when stressed we tend to eat unhealthily and less mindfully. Causing even more digestive issues.
Relaxation training such as the release only version of progressive muscle relaxation in this meditation can significantly reduce reflux symptoms and the number of reflux episodes (www.gastrojournal.org/article....
The diaphragm is an automatic muscle within your abdomen that mechanically helps you to breathe and separates your chest area from the abdomen. You can’t control this muscle directly, but you can influence your moods and breathing which has an effect on the movement of the diaphragm.
This guided meditation for healing acid reflux can help you feel less stressed, ease muscle tension, and help you feel more in control of your GERD symptoms. My soft guiding voice is set to the background of gentle ocean waves with deeply relaxing Delta wave binaural beats.

@@krystal6791im so sorry i never saw your reply honey i hope ur not going thru this anymore but if you still are here are things i did to reverse my GERD: lose weight (i was 100lbs over weight) Bought a wedge pillow and i sleep with it every night. I still do Went to a gastro doc and got prescription antiacids, used pepto and tums daily I went vegan for a year and avoided super fatty foods, spicy foods, high carbs, sugar filled foods this REALLY helped me the most. It was like a tummy reset. I listed to music videos like this, my favorite is "full healing frequency " it has a purple blue cover photo on youtube Removed added stress and managed the stress i couldnt remove with yoga breathing and exercise Ate bread every time i had a flare up (it seemed to soak all the acid up and helped a lot)

Those are all i can remember rn but if i remember more ill add it... i deal with some heartburn every now and again or some indigestion but its a few times a month instead of a few times a day like it used to be. My quality of life has improved a lot

The GERD which made me suffer for 12 years, is solved by taking apple cider vineger and betaine HCL after watching Dr.Berg's channel. I just started taking them 2 weeks ago and I have no longer reflux. These powerful méditations encourage me to seek solutions and reduce stress. Thank you very much Clare

Thank you for this. I'm looking forward to trying it. Reflux for me is related to stress, and a sense of needing to rush in life--an overdeveloped sense of urgency, if you will. Related to childhood trauma, among other factors. I'm just curious if anyone has the same sort of symptoms as I do, because I've never had the classic burning sensation that characterizes heartburn. I burp rather constantly at times; I have trouble swallowing for periods of time; and I get left side chest pain and tightness. Sometimes in combination. It took me a while to figure out that I was dealing with reflux. I find meditation, yoga, and qi gong to be helpful, but I'm still an anxious sort. Working on it, as we all are. One love.

Im going through the same situation currently , I was having a hard time sallowing , didn’t notice I had GERD and it kept happening and now I’m a bit relieved knowing what I have and I know we can overcome it 😊 thanks for comment I’m gonna try yoga as well and just manifest and stay positive

Am already a veggie and fruit eater.. i don't know how i end up with gerd.. this is really painful 😭 am so sorry for those who love spicy food .. I too love spicy too but i totally avoid it now ..your meditation is really helps .. i wake up less pain than ever before thanks a lot ❤️

This is AMAZING. I woke up today with NO symptoms during my current flare up. Even on good days I usually have some noticeable discomfort, nausea, or pain but last night I put this on before I slept and woke up today feeling amazing. your voice is lovely! i woke up this morning feeling fine, drank some green tea, and realized i’d made a grave mistake last night in eating half a pint of s’mores ice cream with chocolate syrup. my mother’s go-to remedy for nausea is drinking ginger ale, which i’ve done all my life, to a point where it’s probably more placebo now than actually helpful. i try to always have it on hand and restrict myself to drinking it for “medicinal” purposes, but the rest of my family will drink it freely and sometimes leave me unprepared for a GERD attack. ofc, this was one of those mornings that i was surprised to not have a stock. this helped me get over the initial hump of nausea after taking a couple of TUMS and nibbling on a saltine cracker, before i could run to cvs and get some ginger ale. i’d like to start doing this meditation multiple times a week to see if it helps overall! i’m only 22, so i really want to avoid prescription and OTC medications that may screw with ny natural systems. i also only really learned about the “healing” phase and “maintenance” phase from your previous comments, which no doctor has ever explained to me! and i’ve seen several! this is just a long way of saying: thank you so much for this. hope you reap the benefits from this as well!

I’m not going to lie, i was having such a bad panic/anxiety attack I didn’t even think this was going to help. There were moments that I had to pause the video to recenter myself bc of how bad my acid reflux was (I thought I was going to puke), but I would come back to this and it WORKED. My body was trembling, I was taking crazy huge breaths… just have a horrible anxiety attack and this stopped it all!! I can not believe how much this worked for me. God bless you for this video, I am so grateful to have found this and have it help me overcome this terrible anxiety & GERD I have been dealing with.

No I completely understand you- I have diagnosed bad generalized anxiety and it sadly all goes to my stomach but then that makes me more anxious 😰 I’m like on my last straw- I’ve had bad acid reflux for 2 years, but then it got better during the third year, and now in the fourth it’s almost a whole different problem as pepto or any anti nausea or anti acid reflux don’t help and I’m kinda stuck with waiting out horrible nausea and stomach pain that cause me to be unable to move or be around strong smells or noises as I’m so scared that everything and anything can make my nausea worse. This has been going on since last November. Waking up at 2-3:30 every morning with nausea and then being unable to sleep after that. I have only found one thing that helps and it’s weed. And I hate that. I used to smoke every so often cause like it’s fun! But now I’m just constantly high cause it’s the only way that I’ve found security in being able to guarantee that there will be no discomfort. It’s caused me to abuse it and spend way more money than I would like just cause I feel like I can’t function without it. So if anyone has any other suggestions that hopefully I have not tried yet, please help🥲

I have watched a lot of videos like this for gerd, acid reflux, and IBS. This is absolutely one of my favorite videos. With effort I can listen to it and stay awake, or I can fall asleep listening if I need to. It is absolutely so relaxing. I sleep so good, I feel like it put me in a temporary coma. I am trying to learn to relax myself during my work shift or other times I can't listen and I'm getting better at being able to do that. Thank you for posting the video, it is helping me so much when I have flare ups. It's so bad I can only halfway swallow and mucus in my throat literally chokes me. This video makes my symptoms so much less severe. 💯💕

Thankyou, I ate something today that's triggered my gerd off I've ate it before and it never has so never thought nothing of it. I fell asleep when I got into bed feeling fine and normal I wake up lump in my throat hot sweaty and feeling sick, I also have a fear of being sick taking 2 of my tablets and listening to this has really helped😊 sometimes tablets on there own just don't work quickly always, I had also such a bad dry mouth with heart burn this meditation also helped me to feel hydrated with the beach part. I don't like feeling on my own even in my mind and travelling somewhere else so I imagined my partner and my dog with me, which helped me just seeing him running around and having the time of his life I still feel like it a tiny bit but its almost literally gone as if I wasn't even feeling that bad 😅. I love it I'm so chilled and happy 😊thankyou so much hope this helps everyone even if it doesn't take it all away I still hope everyone feels at ease and anxiety free❤ happy healing ❤

Was struggling so much with heartburn and trapped gas this evening after a unplanned takeaway. Half way through this meditation and my body was allowing the gas to leave by burping. My body felt more relaxed and more comfortable.

i am week 10 pregnant and having severe acid reflux. i have been puking since week 7 - just today alone i have puked 6 times.. it’s so tough i’m barely surviving. thank you for this meditation, it helps me sleep easier.

Idk but guys day 1 here trying this for 30 days straight first day so far helped me cope with anxiety of the panic attsck alwau forced to breathe inaturally but now it gave me sense that It releasede from stress and trauma from heart burns that I can actually breathe normal if I wanted too ty trying this for 30 days update per 7 days

I dont know if some people need to hear this, but you need to make a list of the food that triggers you and see what works and not. I have gerd for 5 years now ( not consistly and I take sucralfate to calm down my stomach) but these months I had severe reflux and tought I had an ulcer or something. The culprit was Rye Bread, I did some test for celiac and gluten allergy but nothing. Gluten intolerance can cause gerd and severe reactions. I had severe bloating, heartburns, nauseas. After cutting of that bread I was eating daily, my gerd disappear. Food is important when you have gerd so take care of that too

I have been told by doctor to prop myself up with two pillows so my stomach is upright somewhat. Keeps acid down. They said I have barrett's. I'm hoping to heal myself. Thanks for this video Claire

Well I'm sorry to hear that. I may be biased, but I think visualization and relaxation can definitely play a role in healing. It may not be the whole picture of course, and you always have to follow your Dr's recommendations, but there's something to be said for a positive mindset.

Get a wedge pillow. Easier and more comfy than two pillows, also often gets you higher

I'm no expert in diet, but I've been using the book Acid Watcher Cookbook by Jonathan Aviv who recommends eliminating some LES trigger foods such as peppers, raw onion, raw garlic, mint, chocolate, caffeine, and alcohol. But then reintroducing the foods after the healing phase.

For me acid reflux causes indigestion, bloating, stomach pain and pain in the upper abdomen, burning sensation and a lot of other problems. Tnx for this meditation it saves me.

I have the worst anxiety and emetophobia. Like it gives me a gaggy feeling in my throat and reflux and always happens at night when my anxiety is high. What I find interesting is that when I am distracted really well or talking on the phone with someone about light hearted stuff then I get way less anxiety and can actually get sleepy, which is rare. I’m always afraid that I’ll get sick. I wish I could just be normal. I wish I could just sleep. When I accidentally remind myself that I have anxiety or the gaggy feeling or reflux or anything I get the horrid symptoms come back again and stay until I sleep or get really, really, really, really hecka distracted. Someone please help me. I just turned 17 years old and I have no one to talk to about my anxiety. Parents won’t listen, no friends, and untrustworthy school councillors/ teachers. I can’t afford therapy. I really don’t want to live like this. It’s a stupid cycle, and nearly always gets the worst at night now recently. Before the anxiety and gaggy feeling was easier to handle and now it’s just so intense i can’t just deep breathe my way out of it because if I get reminded of it then it comes in big waves. Any suggestions please help. Been dealing with this since I was 15 and it’s been getting wayyy too outrageously bad especially on emetophobia standards. Any suggestions or mindset stuff would be appreciated. I wish therapy and medicine wasn’t costly and everything…

Lately , within the last month I have been having so much Stress and Anxiety. Within the last few weeks I began to notice constant Belching and it reached a point where it was freaking me out so much . I couldn’t even sleep comfortably because I would have to get up constantly just to belch . Couldn’t even enjoy my mornings as well because I’d wake up w/ the pain in my throat and even fearing that I was losing weight . I am 22 . I checked out your meditation and it was definitely much needed to help me relax and have a good sleep . Unfortunately, the next morning I woke up w/ some of the same triggers.

Hey there, I'm 22 as well and having the same symptoms as you. Sleepless nights because of throat pain, early morning coughing with occasional nausea, worried about eating anything...it's so hard to explain to others about my reflux. I have anxiety also and believe that it goes hand in hand with my gerd. I found out through endoscopy I have a hiatal hernia which worsens my symptoms. Sometimes my medication works, sometimes not. Really depends on the particular flare. Anyway, wishing you well and better.
