It's time for a return to Texas, to play the great game of Texas Hold'em. I've heard there's poker action to be found in Houston... that might help explain why this guy just 5b me when I'm holding pocket aces. Throw in some ace-kings and some drone cinematography, and the vlog is back, proper.

No, Andrew was wrong. He should have let the other person decide whether he wanted to run it 'once or twice,' since Andrew always lets the other person decide whether he wants to run it. Seeing the card, obviously, has no bearing on the other person's decision.

So glad I made it out there to meet you, Brad, and a couple guys from the Hand History Lounge (Dan & Brian). I had a great time hanging out and playing at TCH! Glad the car incident did not keep me from making it down there. Got it all fixed up though. Turned out to be some security chip under the steering wheel that was loose or dirty. The shop took it out and cleaned it up and no issues starting it since. :)

For me personally, I love living in Vegas because when it’s happening here, it’s happening! But when it’s not, you always have a nonstop flight on Southwest to wherever it is happening. Definitely nice to get away and play cards elsewhere once in a while.

Couple questions/points of interest. 1st: Nice vlog with excellent dissection of play/hands. 2nd: I'll take infinite quads any ol' day! 3rd: Did you get ANY sleep before you started this 12hr+ grind?! At the start, your eyes look like you just woke up in the drunk tank at Houston PD. 😂 And finally: Was this the same game that Jaman Burton & Rain Delay posted about attending? Ayyy! That's where I play a lot. My days go pretty similarly. Pretty rough at times. Do you notice big differences how they play compared to other places? Or is it pretty universal? In helmuth's book he said they play different in Wisconsin than Vegas. Wonder how Houston varies from LA and Vegas.

The ace on the river during your pocket 3’s hand was actually a good card for you. Not only should you have more aces than the utg limper, any ace he may be limping with will have a kicker with a much weaker range. Also, we should consider card removal. Having another ace on the river makes it less likely villain limp called with something like ace 2-8. Lastly, it’s better to have 33 than not, as it reduces the chance villain has a straight. At this point some might argue you would rather have the 3 of hearts or 3 of spades instead of the 3 of clubs, as you would rather your opponent have the club for a busted flush draw. And while that is usually sound logic, in this instance having the 3 of clubs makes things a little more dicey. For instance, if villain has the 3 of clubs in his hand it would usually be with the ace of clubs (but the ace is on the flop), the four of clubs (which gives a better two pair), or the 5 of clubs (which would complete the straight). Because the ace on the river hits your range more than the utg limper, as well as removal, you could chose to 3 barrel.

Andrew check out coming to Wyoming on Nov 1st and 2nd. It is the Wyoming State Poker tournament in Riverton Wy at the Windriver Hotel and Casino. I play this every year. It is a WSOP qualifier. Last year first place was around 28k take home plus a seat in the WSOP. so around 38k. Check it out add Wyoming to your states played in!!!

Great video. I was amazed you highlighted the AK hand at 3:45 as being spewy when I feel the 54s hand before it at 2:26 is much worse. As mentioned opening these super low suited connectors is marginal. I don't hate betting the flop but when you are check raised it has to be a fold unless its super player dependent. AND even then lets assume that bluffs have a lot of equity against you. You will almost never get to the river with a strong hand. If by some miracle you bink a two outer it will almost certainly slow down over pairs which probably make up a large part of his range. While its true he can almost never have a 3 are you raising from LP with A3, unlikely too. Probably more likely a player limp calls with A3s. IMHO the 533 board looks much better for your hand than the actual odds imply vs your opponents flop check raising range. While you gain equity because of the backdoor straight draws, you lose even more equity because of the two pair outs and other stuff such as implied odds when you hit your 5 and don't get paid. IMHO there are just far better spots to put in close to half you stack and have to fold the river the vast majority of the time.

Yeah I wasn't recording. It's hard to capture everything after 10+ hours of grinding, hosting, beverages, etc. It should've been in there.
