FILM DESCRIPTION:
After the members of a team of scientists (Harold Ramis, Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray) lose their cushy positions at a university in New York City, they decide to become "ghostbusters" to wage a high-tech battle with the supernatural for money. They stumble upon a gateway to another dimension, a doorway that will release evil upon the city. The Ghostbusters must now save New York from complete destruction.

I can also remember watching the first Ghostbusters at the cinema in my local town in King's Lynn back in 1984.Long time ago,One of the best movies out of the lot,Nothing ever beats the 1st movies,Have watched it quite a few times over the years as well

I should have come as a large and moving Torg again. That was my mistake. If I'd come as a Torg or a Giant Sloar, these four punks would have been fried, the Earth Realm would be mine, and I'd have redecorated New York with a decidedly more Gozerian flair, with a lot more gargoyles on buildings and stuff. Ah well, we all learn from our mistakes.

I can't stand the direction Ghostbusters took... a bunch of kids became obsessed with it and then grew up as adults not understanding that it's mostly a comedy. SNL cast members created the film--it genuinely hurts my head to see it being treated so reverently as if all of its 'lore' isn't purposefully made-up sounding....
