Adam was definitely me when I watched this trailer!!!! The key stroke on the piano 🤗🤗🤗🤗and Peter's speech to Ray for them starting the business.....🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗 I am so stoked for this movie! JoyGyllyan23 I’m not sure the containment system is underground the mining company in the town is Shandor mining company Evo Shandor was the man that designed Dana’s apartment building. That’s the explanation I think.

They needed a containment unit the size of a really big twinkie. So Egon got property in the middle of nowhere and built one big enough to contain everything.

I think when they chase the ghost(hopefully slimer) it goes viral and gets attention of the ghostbusters(first Ray who calls Winston then he texts Janine, who calls Peter but Dana answers for him) PLEASE GOD MAKE THAT HAPPEN!!

My theory is what ever the super antenna that was on Dana's building , was made from what ever is in the mine. The mine is now becoming the new gate. I also think Paul Rudd and Egon's daughter will be possessed by Vinz Clortho and Zuul and so become the new Key Master and Gate Keeper. This might lead to the kids going though Rudd's notes and tracking down the other Ghostbusters for help.

“No! They never made them like this!” So Shandor Mines....that’s where the ore is from, used in the construction of Dana and Vince’s building in NYC. Something also tells me that a large ghost (a la Stay Puft Marshmallow Man), stepped on that barn. Stacked books, proton packs, ghost traps, Ecto-1 and obviously Slimer. This is how it’s done.

Gentlemen. Thank you for not talking through the trailer while it was showing. You gave me a glimmer of hope when you saw the kids walking towards the mine. You lit up with recognition but didn't say anything about the Shandor mining company. Not one reaction video yet had the viewers catch that on the first run through. It was the biggest detail I noticed on my first view. Second, thank you for showing some emotion. I'm a combat veteran and I had tears when Ecto-1 tore ass across the field. The siren blaring? I was done. I've watched this stupid trailer 30 times tonight.

3:10 Sign: "Shandor Mining Co." As in Ivo Shandor, builder of Dana's building 550 Central Park West, and leader of the Cult of Gozer. That's why Egon left everything at an old farmhouse near the mine. 😉

3 months and hundreds of views removed from watching it the first time, I think you're right. I also think the ending of it is gonna be pretty final for Aykroyd, Murray and Hudson. Also I think Shandor is the Big Bad but that's just me.

Idk why i didn't think of the containment system idea lol. Im loving the tone of this trailer. The 2016 Ghostbusters was to over the top with the comedy for me and the tone here is very different. The music themes and Bill Murray speech gave me chills.

Failing containment system was pretty much the first thing I thought of when I saw the trailer. And the way it contains ghosts is nightmare; it has to be ACTIVELY POWERED to keep its ghosts contained and any interruption in power will result in ghosts escaping. Given that Egon is apparently dead in the movie, you can throw in "lack of maintenance" contributing to the problem... although I have to wonder how much maintenance you can do on a system that you can never turn off.

What if Egon not only stored all the ghosts down in the mine, but (since the mine is/was owned by the guy who summoned Goza) is acting as a kind of Dam preventing ghosts from roaming at all. Hence the last 30 years of no ghosts.

This is one of my favorite episodes on this channel. I come back and watch it from time to time for a pick me up. I was born in '84, outside of WWF/E my earliest "pop culture" memory is my love of Ghostbusters, it is easily one of the top 5 movies in terms of number of times seen. This movie working was so important to me.

When someone asks you if you want to make a real Ghostbusters sequel you say YES! I give this trailer 1/1 the villian may be Gozer the Traveler. He will come in one of the pre-chosen forms. During the rectification of the Vuldrini, the traveler came as a large and moving Torg! Then, during the third reconciliation of the last of the McKetrick supplicants, they chose a new form for him: that of a giant Slor! Many Shuvs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Slor that day, I can tell you!

I quite often watch reaction videos , but seldom have I seen so many genuinely excited and happy reviews as I have with this trailer. It just shows what a unique place we hold for Ghostbusters! I saw the original with my first Girlfriend in '84. Happy memories! My reaction was the same as yours! To this day Ghostbusters is the only film I've ever paid to go and see twice. I'm so looking forward to seeing this.

back in the day, I was thinking If they had to ever reboot the franchise, I would have hoped they would have gone with the cast of the 40-year old Virgin. Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, Seth Rogan, and Romany Marco's Comedic Chemistry would have made that work. So the fact they got Paul Rudd on this makes me happy

Remember Shandor Mine is there aswell. that means its the place where the old structural engineer that built the building in the first movie got all his spiritual absorbing metals from for the building. Meaning its more than likely a hot spot for spirits, and Egon had been possibly following Shandors tracks. Building his house and stockpiling his resources for an imminent break out.

My theory is Shandor's ghost is a main thing, as thats Shandor's mines ( shandor built dana's apartment building ) , Gozer is returning as we saw a Terror dog....also maybe the town has a few living Gozer worshippers :P

Murray was the one that didn't want anything to do with it, Dan Aykroyd has been trying to make this movie for decades, they even managed to bring Murray back for the 2009 videogame

At first I was a little disappointed about the theme song not being played, but after going back to watch the scene of Venkman talking about luck and fate, I noticed that the trailer did use the score. Go back and watch it, it's kind of genius how they incorporated the music from that scene in this trailer.

The first time I watched the trailer, knowing NOTHING about it, what got me was seeing the spores molds and fungus... I was like..... thats Egon's house!!! I was hooked from there.

I believe this home they moved into was Ray’s family home that was mentioned in Ghostbusters. He may have given it to Egon as a gift to his friend if Ray never married or had kids. This could lead to Egon’s daughter calling uncle Ray to fix up the house he knows so well which would start to bring in the Original Crew to this story.

There is a lot of information in the trailer! You have to pay close attention! Everything is linked to Ghostbusters 1, The cry of the boy in the black shirt is a real thrill for fans! I also cried when I saw the trailer!

I like the fact that the movie is centered around the legacy of the Ghostbusters and pays homage to Harold Ramis' character. It's a better way to reboot the series than what the 2016 movie tried to do. We'll never get a "Ghostbusters 3" with the original cast for obvious reasons (unless you consider the Ghostbusters videogame to be the third installment) so this will have to do. As it stands now it looks like the director wants to bring the franchise back to it's original style while modernizing it for a new generation. Kind of like what Blade Runner 2049 did for Blade Runner (1982).

There were trilogy of Ghostbusters, first and second were the movies, the third story sequel is the video game as the ending of the trilogy. the gunner seat was in the video game (the third story sequel). And the story from the video game story continued to this Ghostbuster Afterlife movie.

See, the Containment System is like a big Twinkie… left out for far too long. It starts breaking down, letting the filling inside start to gradually leak out, growing at the surface… until eventually… (glances over at failing containment system, cutoff by 2nd character) That's one moldy Twinkie.

My take is that Egon was stationed near Ivo Shandor's mine to investigate and / or contain whatever his activities there were. Obviously, after he died, whatever was there started to go awry.

I love the fact this film has Ant-Man and Proxima Midnight in it. I need to watch this again at some point. Love you guys and I called it that Adam was the crier - but to be honest I did too 😂
