Thanks for the great review and install. DYI Speed Garage did an install of these same points on a GX460 a few weeks back and that vehicle already had the rear hole on the passenger side frame. I just ordered the Treaty Oak version.

FYI the treaty oak ones are made for 460, it just happens they fit the 470, but it appears many need to be drilled.

I got the Apex Overland recovery point and they bolt right in - no drilling need it. They are very solid! I like the red color as well - better than the yellow color here.

I just went through this with the treaty oak ones. I’m told the frame hole you used for the rear bolt on the driver side is too big for that backing nut. As I understand it you want to use the rear-most hole on the recovery point, it lines up with a hole that some gx’s have and some don’t (but the prado does). I ended up drilling my frame on both sides to install (2009, non-kdss). I imagine You want the bolt and the frame hole to match diameter as much as possible from a structural standpoint. I figure with the forces at work in a pull it’s best to make sure it’s done right.

I guess you installed it wrong, the flat side (thick washer) must be against the chassis, not the bolt .. my .02 cents.. :) min 7.25

It was made by a company called RPM fab out of Phoenix but they went out of business a year ago or so? Bummer because they had the best bumper out in my opinion.

@@GXOverland AWESOME! trailpower.com/ I saw them a few months back but they hadn't come to market yet. I was looking at Cascadia 4x4's but they didn't have a GX specific, and they're 90w. I like that this is 120! Really liking your channel. you've now convinced me on 3 things, the Overland exhaust, the Tesla screen (with the custom firmware), and now the hood solar panel. Any chance you did a video of the install/impressions?

About 20 years ago I was stuck in a rut and cried out Jesus!! He pulled me right out . I still get stuck sometimes but he keeps pulling me out. If your stuck ,go on and call on His name ! Without Him your not going to make it over the ridge to destination glory
