I remember watching this game starring sadly at the TV after the game was over. Before I could cry, my phone immediately wrang and it was My Mom, she was at home watching this game with my Dad and she knew how much this meant to us as Rangers fans. I didn't want this amazing Playoff Run to be over, It was so much fun to follow this team through all the ups and downs. I was sick and tired of the Ranger Haters making fun of us and our history. But my mom said it's an amazing sport of sportsmanship and handshakes after. That prevented me from crying to say the Rangers will be back. Hats off to Jon Cooper for giving us praise and recognition!

Thanks for the respect. Lots of us Rangers fans have just been getting shit on and rightfully so after the dumb “Igor’s better” chants. Knew it would come back to bite us but nice to see someone taking it easy on us lol.

@@u.s.m.c.fewproudthemarines2987 just a bad 5v5 team all year. Game 1 Tampa was rusty and the Rangers took advantage. Figured something like that wouldn’t happen again all series. After the game 3 comeback all the momentum was in the Lightning’s hands and they just played like the team we’ve seen the last 2 seasons. An inexperienced and tired team going up against one of the best teams in history. Not a great matchup for us to say the least.

@@jtsotta27 I'm a big Rangers fan but also a realest. Team's avg age was 26.5. The fact we were there on pure guts and glory was insane. Igor being the heartbeat. We'll be back.

Thanks for giving us credit for our effort! Ranger haters and the media kept making excuses for the Rangers that the Rangers got lucky facing 2nd and 3rd string goalies. They just didn't want to admit that the Rangers were a good team! At least Tampa's Coach and you guys admitted that we're a good and upcoming team!

Vasilevskiy didn’t come close to being as good as Igor. Igor faced many more shots and kept the rangers in it. Igor #1 goalie this season in the NHL.

@@britts.8894 This comment is incoherent and doesn't apply to who outplayed who. Igor outplayed Vasilevsky and it's not close. Double the shots per game....Vasilevsky gave up 6 goals one day. Hart Trophy should go to Igor. Tampa just had the way bigger and better team.

@@3838nygiants Your comment that "Vasilevskiy didn’t come close to being as good as Igor" is worse than incoherent. Sure, Vasy gave up 6 goals in game one of the series, but that was a team loss. If you want to go by number of goals in one game, Vasy gave up one goal in three of the other five games in the series while Igor gave up at least two goals in every game. Igor also got pulled twice in Round 1 against the Penguins (after giving up 6 goals in one of those games). Igor deserves to win the Vezina this year, but to say Vasy didn't come close to being as good as Igor is laughable.
