He's made his own mental health charity the hkf and has been sponsoring Leyton orients shirts for a few years now an giving up that space for mental health charities like Shout so he does do a lot of charity work and gives back to the club that gave him his start in football.

This is a bit more of the wealthy/elite awarding each other, when it could easily go to someone who isn't already incredibly wealthy. He already has a platform to do whatever he wants. It would be nice for some unknown common folks who work their asses off without much recognition get a bit more respect.

One of most oveerated players ever, bottles every final and semi final for club and country, never won anything, got carried into CL knockouts again, scoring load of goals for a small team like spurs wow amazing.

@@mikecombest2141 Kane has scored 40 penalties out of his 259 goals for Spurs, when you take away penalties, that's still 219 goals for Spurs by 29 which isn't bad at all. He's been at spurs for 8 seasons, so that's on average 5 per season, he won 3 Golden boots by the age of 27, if you're not a very good player you don't do that, and it's not just his goalscoring, he's turning into a very good playmaker as well, his link up play is fantastic

People are too harsh on Kane when it comes to not winning trophies. Teams win trophies, not one player. It's like the argument a player needs to win a world cup to be considered the greatest ever. It's such a ridiculous mindset to judge an individual by a team trophy. For example, Messi may not win it, yet I think he's the best player the game has seen, due to his ability and the consistency and longevity he's shown over his career. That for me counts far more than judging him by what a team achieves. Fact is, Kane has been incredibly consistent for Spurs and England. This is someone who has scored nearly 200 PL goals, while he's only 2 goals away from equalling Rooney's international record for England. If he was at a club like City then he would have won things, while his goal record would surely be even more impressive too. He deserves a huge amount of credit for the level he's been at for nearly a decade now.

The freedom of London means you can eat anywhere for free, even at places as distinguished as Mcdonalds and Pizza Hut. You also never have to pay for another drink in a pub again. Furthermore, you can walk round London without the threat of being stabbed or mugged, given all potential criminals will now respect you. Unreal.

Goals are goals and sure you could argue all of them (apart from Colombia) came against crap teams but that's because they're are lots of crap teams at the world cup. What do you expect him to do? Miss deliberately because the opposition is too crap? Ronaldo had to play the likes of iran and morroco, messi against iceland and nigeria, lewa against japan and senegal and they couldn't score as many as him. Probably because of the snobbery that still exists towards snooker. Ronnie at nearly 47 is still the greatest player in the game but after 7 world titles has never come close to winning the BBC sports personality of the year either. Maybe this year? The same could have applied to Steve Davis and Stephen Hendry in their day. Come to think of it how many Sirs are there in darts? None that I can think of. Rooney 183 goals in 393 games for man u back when they were top class. Kane 193 goals in 293 games for a sprs that have been anywhere between good and terrible. If u rate Rooney higher then that's your opinion, but u can't be making out Rooney was clearly much better.

Not only that, look at all the goals England scored in WC 2018. All were pens/set-pieces and 2 which should've been offside. England have been v v v lucky these past 2 tournaments. And still failed wonderfully.

It's true there's a different pressure to scoring goals at Spurs were failure is tolerated as opposed to scoring goals that wins you titles & cups etc. Harry Kane should have left Spurs 4 or 5 seasons ago. I hope the rumors are true & Kane does move to Bayern Munich & he can prove himself at an elite club

He was born in Jamaica and lived there until he was 5. He should be thanking us every day for allowing his mother and her children to move here. He's also received an MBE which is a much higher accolade than the freedom of London.
