21-year-old Jake Thomas Patterson was described as quiet and reserved. After Jake was caught at 14 “experimenting on animals” he began possessing odd fantasies and eerie traits. Jake always felt there was a hole in his heart that needed to be filled and one day on his way to work he spots 13 year-old Jayme Closs walking out of her home and on to her morning school bus to middle school. Jayme didn’t know if then, but this is the moment, her life would change forever.

When I was 12-13, a man used to follow me on his bike every day after I got off the school bus. Like, he would be there waiting on his bike at the end of my street. My stepdad found where he lived and threatened him to his parents that he still lived with.

Also Jayme had not one grown man lusting after her but ANOTHER grown man broke into her house while she was kidnapped to steal her clothes. Why are there so many pedophile men? It’s disgusting and makes me afraid of all men

One man, complete stranger, terrorizes her and kills her parents, and another man, also a stranger, goes in to steal her underwear. Strange men see a 13 year old girl and instantly sexualize her resulting in her abuse and torment, how disgusting and vile.

@@raynaakuma9981those types of little bitches tend to hang around together because they're too cowardly to be alone. Fucking predators deserve to be unalived in the worst way possible. It's disgusting enough people pay for sex with prostitutes and abuse animals, but going after children is just *vile.* Children are in no way sexual. They are innocent, and they are sweet. And then there's the fact that they stink and have barely any hand-eye coordination. *DO NOT TAKE THIS THE WRONG WAY BECAUSE I MEAN NO OFFENSE TO KIDS AND TEENAGERS.* Bruh, kids stink, don't have ADULT bodies, and are just all around kinda not pleasant to be around. They are NOT attractive in any way. They are meant to be *PROTECTED* not harmed. You have to be really sick in the head to look at a child and think any kind of sexual thoughts about them. I look at both my teenagers and think about how much they still have to learn, how innocent they still are, and how I would die to protect them. The fact that there are people on this planet that *actively* look to harm children in this manner is beyond comprehension. Bastards.

I never comment especially before watching a video but I need to. This event happened when she was my same age not even 20 minutes away from my house. Our whole town was terrified the entire time and it affected the community greatly. When she was finally able to escape the whole area was genuinely so relieved and happy. This just shows the power that one story can have on an entire area.

There's so much messed up about this. Jake is only roughly a year younger than me. I have my own mental issues but even with that I can't justify anything this man did. Jamie was a child and is only 18 at most now. This somehow feels both so far away and so recent. Jamie must still be dealing with all of this trauma, and likely will be for the rest of her life. Here I'm thinking my teenage years where bad meanwhile this child had to deal with the murder of her parents and being kidnapped. I hope Jamie is doing well and I hope she is able to cope with this whole situation, and know none of this is any of her fault.

I was so happy that she was able to escape and that POS is going to rot in jail, but I can't imagine having to live with the trauma that she endured for the rest of her life. Yup I remember that as well. All the "online wanna be detectives" were all saying she was dating a guy and they set her parents up and killed them so she could run away with him. This is why I hate when people take to social media and say hurtful things without all the facts first. I get you can speculate. It's human nature. But to publicly spew inaccurate statements. Idk. It just doesn't sit right with me. Bet they felt stupid as hell when the truth came out. I just wish more people could see the harm their comments can do online about things they know nothing about. I hope she never read any of those mean comments or had someone tell her people were talking about her like that.

I am from the town that Jayme was found. One of my cousins graduated with him (the guy in the blue shirt on the far left in the class photo). At the time of Jayne’s disappearance, we were very good very friends with the people who would end up finding her. From our little church, we had a thing called “Life groups” and this life group was for the parents. Conveniently, all those parents who were in the group had children the same age as me. We would play together outside, regardless of light or dark. I played outside mere feet away from that man’s house. The idea horrifies me. The idea that once, when we were headed to life groups, we accidentally pulled into his driveway. We were RIGHT THERE. I have never personally met Jayme Closs (though I’ve seen her from a distance at a sporting event a few years after), but I know she is a strong, beautiful, and wonderfully kind young lady. That sort of thing changes people (how could it not?) but Jayme has come back stronger and the whole community is so proud of her.

I was totally obsessed with this case when it was happening in real time from day one. There is information then that you can now not find now because at time there was more information on websites 1 90 percent of the time because he was up on on her never letting her alone he was unemployed he was at home it was only very little amount of time that she was under the bed he was there constantly 2 They shared the same bed very weird 3 He didn’t exactly say he did it right away like they said but it did confess very soon after he was arrested 4 When police came to get Jayme once she found out they arrested patterson they officers said she smiled a lot 5 When she was found and at the neighbors house she was said to be in a very dazed extremely exhausted shaking not reacting shock type of state hair extremely matted Very skinny just very flat state emotions 6 The FBI was investigating involved with this case from day one it was extremely throughly investigated from the start 7 She was given a ton of physical test done and the hospital and a mental evaluation and wasn’t reunited with her aunt/her moms older sister until late the next afternoon to legally adopt her . She gave her aunt a massive hug when she saw her aunt. 8 All her family members have said they can totally see the trauma and damage. She is different after she got back 9 Her aunt made her get into trauma therapy soon after they got her home 10 He confessed in prison had a goal of killing multiple family’s and stealing their very young preteen/early teen daughters and torturing them play mind games with them he said he wanted to see the world burn. 11 He made her play games with him all the time and forced her to act like a wife and cook all homemade food for him 12 I know from following the case in real time that they dropped the charges in the county he held Jayme in. He did most likely sexual assault/r@pe her. But her aunt who adopted her and her aunts and uncles from both sides decided to not take those charges to trial so as to not traumatize her and make those details public. They made sure to put as little information as to what happened to her in the public records. He’s a registered sex offender 13 Her cousin who is a woman is a police officer and they saw her picture with in the house recognized her as a colleague called her then that was how they found out she lived there. 14 Her cousin corrections officer is the daughter of the older sister of Jayme mom who adopted her. Worked at the same prison he was temporarily being held 15 Jayme has said that she would reveal what happened to her and do an interview but it would be in several years so she can be healed enough emotionally to do so 16 Jayme is 18 years old this year and at college 17 Her family is extremely protective of her and came together won’t do interviews until Jayme is emotionally ready and only after she does hers 18 Barron has only had 3 murders in Almost 40 years. 19 They tore down jayme home she wanted it torn down so she wouldn’t be traumatized by seeing it 20 Her aunt who adopted her had a daycare service she also lives in Barron she looked after Jayme everyday of the week sometimes Saturdays while her parents worked for 12 years straight she was basically a second mom to Jayme.,
