she chose a knife because it's easy to get one. it's not common nor easy in Europe to get a gun, especially if you are a teen with history of mental health issues and run-ins with the police. don't read too much into it ahaha other than that, great video as always!

@@JNB520 Not really, anything you could get your hands onto. I mostly heard about knives in domestic violence, but it's not limited to that. Guns are hard to get, but not impossible, but weapons that slash are much much easier to obtain obviously.

@@JNB520 in the UK at least, knife crime is a major issue especially among youth. by law, you have to be at least 18 to purchase knives, and some places like IKEA make the age minimum 21. I’ve had to help uni friends purchase kitchen knives.

As someone who watched this case unfold through german news, just to clarify she was sentenced to 12 years through juvenile court in prison where she needs to undergo psychiatric treatment and if after 12 years she has not proved herself willing to change and is not mentally stable enough to not be a danger to society, she will stay in preventive detention (which is a kind of prison after prison) and that could last forever

The reason she bragged about being a prostitute was b/c she wanted to be more interesting than she actually was. This girl clearly wanted to be something she wasn’t, & I love how she says she got caught so early, but she didn’t get caught, she just confessed to what she did. she won’t automatically be released, she’ll be tested first to see if she’s reformed and if she hasn’t then she’ll be sent to a different prison

Hey my ex is 34 and groomed an 18 year old and took advantage of her grieving her father who died recently. He told me she “begged for it” and stated “an older guy might know what he’s doing better” the fact he blamed her and argued that she’s a legal adult when she attended a middle college that he currently still works at and she just graduated from with her high school diploma and associates in May of this year is beyond disturbing. I am nauseated still and it’s only been a few months since we broke up because I found out but I feel such a strong protective energy over these young girls. I’m 28 and just can’t imagine finding an 18 year old attractive at age 28 at all. These men are sick.

I remember this one. No real justice to be had in this one. Strange how the German courts wanted to give the friend with guilty knowledge five years and then gave the psychopathic murderer only twelve years in a mental hospital. Unless the mental hospital does an awesome job of fixing her, she's going to kill again.

@@Bfdidc It's not set in stone she will get a chance at parole. The psych prison unit reports continuously to the courts to update them on her mental state. If the 12 years are up and she up to this point, hasn't shown significant change, emphasis on significant, she will not get the chance of a parole hearing and stay in prison or the psych ward, for another extended period of time.

You can‘t just buy a gun in germany 😅 That‘s why she didn‘t use one. I do live in germany and it‘s reaaaally hard to get the allowance to own a gun, you can‘t own them at that age, you have to be in a „gun/shoot club“ and practice shooting regularly and you get controlled by police more often. Of course you can get them illegally through the internet but that‘s also not that easy cause packages often get controlled

Of course we have knifes and violence definitely exists in germany but I can‘t imagine what it would be like to live in fear someone random might have a gun and just shoot me..

Sarah was really bad at planning these crimes. Not like I want her to get away with it, but she did everything wrong. As a German, I think she got a knife since it was so much easier accessable than a gun. You can't just go and get a gun over here in Germany. We have very strict laws about who gets to own a gun and who doesn't. You need a license for that as well.

I was diagnosed with BPD and I used to do a lot of things for attention because I always felt like no one noticed my pain or cared about me. I would spread rumors about myself so people could think about me. It’s sounds so sad. But I would literally never kill anyone I have extreme empathy. I j used to be very impulsive I still am but in a fun safer way. I got addicted to drugs and cutting. As I got older it got better for me. I’m much more mature now. I stopped cutting over 2 years ago and have been sober for also 2 years.I would also have sex ALOT because I loved the feeling it gave me but I realized I hurt alot of men because I had no feelings attached to it. (I don’t have STDs) I get checked every month. Lol. And I’m not into toxic people or relationships anymore. I know what I deserve and I deserve happiness. So whoever reading this I want you to know if u try to becoming more logical and give yourself a chance to be better you WILL get better. I’m extremely happy with my life and I have a lot of friends that I deeply love. Never give up. Even if you feel like your not making progress focus on today. Day by day. Focus on what your doing in the moment and try to challenge yourself with tasks bc it makes me feel so much better❤ I love you your life is worth living. I promise.

I think its important to understand that most teens don't cause trouble because they like drama or are attracted to conflict, I myself suffered from mental illnesses & my father was abusive, & that mix leads to trama & we often act out because we don't have the tools or the support to help us understand what we're feeling. We should never write off a teen girl that way. I think its very wrong minded to see her as enjoying the trouble, even if she leaned into it. My father called me crazy because he was fundamentally incapable of accepting responsibility for his own behavior, & the more he called me crazy, the more crazy I decided to be. I really needed help & I honestly can't tell you why I didn't also commit worse crimes.

I feel like ur right but also... at that age you know what's right and wrong and know exactly why murdering someone is bad and illegal, I myself, was a very troubled teenager diagnosed with bpd but I never ever engaged in such crimes or even ever tried to hurt anyone in any kind of way, she probably also has a narcissistic personality disorder or/and Histrionic personality disorder.. anyway, yeah she is mentally ill but also responsible for her actions and even tho her mental illness(s) can make her crimes """"more""" understandable it doesn't excuse them (I don't think that's what you were trying to say btw I'm just reacting to your comment😊) sometimes teenagers will in fact put themselves in dramas/situations that will get them attention because they're in such mental distress that they need it, sometimes they will actually do it just for fun :/ even though that can be explained by traumas

@nawelleraison4450 It's just wrong to describe young girl with such mental problems like that. And it's done very often. That just leads into thinking that this behaviour gives teenage girls fun and they're just little attention seekers, so people ignores the reason of troubles they create. Presenting these situations in such wrong way causes treating us very unseriously, so everybody just ignores it all instead of thinking "maybe this girl actually needs help".

im german and this case has been stuck in my brain since first heard of it. kind of mad that shes starting to get more n more videos made about her (ive seen several videos about her in german english and even spanish). Im my opinion she doesnt deserve it because that what she wanted in the first place. To become famous. Well at least shes gonna rot in jail. Doubt shes getting out anytime soon with her mentallity.

German gun laws are not like American gun laws. You can't just go buy a gun in Germany. She's couldn't have gotten one legally and it's not easy to get one illegal. You have to be age 18 years show trustworthiness and personal adequacy you also need expert knowledge of firearms and prove necessity to even get a gun in Germany. Maybe look up laws before you talk about something you obviously know nothing about.
