So, that dude does not know all of them, he probably do not even ask them enough questions bcz they just friends and do not plan to f them or some thing. completely agree I've been with females who loved the fact that I can do things for them. Bringing up marriage on the first date is coming off too strong. Marriage might be the goal for both but when you bring it up on the first date and you don't even know where the guy works is just ludicrous. Marriage and starting a family is a commitment and a first date is not where we talk about commitments its where we try to get to know each other to see if we are even compatible

I met him when I was 19 in 99 and I’ll always cherish that moment he talk to me, like a real dad. My father was horrible to his whole family and I lost my mom because of him. I know Steve is not perfect but he’s a perfect example of what a real man and husband and father is supposed to be like. I lost two of my siblings and my sister would have chosen better and valued herself if he was loving… but he put his hands on all of us. I fought back and called the cops on him and left my senior year. I can even repeat the verbal abuse he said to me and everybody heard him. My poor mom kept trying to get away from him.

Surely your first date should be coffee and getting to know the guy a little, find out if you can stand him, and he,you. This first date should be somewhere public and around half an hour long. Second date maybe brunch and a few questions off the list asked in a light hearted manner again no more than 90 to 120 minutes tops. On the third date, fine get a lot more serious, remember dating ,serious or not,is still supposed to be fun.

@@CreativelyKia Here's my take. Most men and women in today's world of texting and snap chat have lost the art of conversation. Most if not all of Steve's questions are perfectly normal conversational questions to ask. If someone says "Who are you Kia? Paint a picture of your life with words and what you want it to be" That encompasses A lot of what Steve is suggesting. These questions make for a REAL conversation instead of where do you work and what is your sign.

I feel it's only right since you commented on my post that I comment on yours..A good man's agenda, contrary to some women is NOT to waste a woman's time..All of us carry baggage from one relationship to the next and some portions of our soul are more difficult to bear than others..If you approach a date as an interview you have already put yourself at a disadvantage..Temper your expectations, notice I didn't say lower or settle..Some women try to find a husband on the 1st date which isn't reasonable..Now I'm not saying wait 6 to 8 months but geeze within a 2 hour date you wanna know about this man's parents, his job, his FICO score, blood type, aliases, social security etc..The 1st is normally an audition shouldn't be a on the spot job interview with a built in background check at the dinner table..Lol!!

They are being interviewed to be in your life. You can beat around the bush and waste time if you want... life’s too short for it!

I'm fully on board with the first date doesn't have to tell you absolutely every last detail about a person right then and there. Me and my wife never needed all that and damn sure didn't have my life figured out to the letter like Steve is implying needs to be the case, not even close. And I definitely never had a 2-week plan. Whatever that entails.

I tell men to ask questions too because they feel they can’t….but they have every right too because I see so many men ending up with the wrong woman. I give my brother advice too because these women are something else too… I ask a man questions because I grew up in a abusive household so I gotta know some things… and they wind up revealing their true colors. Caucasian and Latino men don’t mind me asking questions but the black guys do because they are usually not serious and that’s just my experience.

Especially the first date. First impressions count for a lot and doing this sets the tone for the rest of the dates and potential relationship...

I would tweak it based on if I know the guy at all, and would split some of these questions up between the first few dates. They’re all valid questions especially if we’re grown and not trying to waste time. Two mature adults can talk about their future plans and be honest about what they do or do not have together. If dating, then I go in knowing what I’m willing to sit and wait for and what not to.

100% agree. These are good questions to find answers to, but you have to find them in a natural way. Gotta build trust and chemistry with the other person which takes time.
