The Inferno yes. When installing spark plugs you should always put a wee dab of oil on the threads but if you notice oil anywhere else or if you were not the one who installed the spark plugs to begin with you won’t know whether the previous person dab the threads with oil or not so since I found oil on the spark plugs and went 100% sure it’s best to be cautious especially since I noticed a dab of oil that wasn’t located strictly on the threads themselves and best to be safe and run a quick compression test since it only takes a few minutes when already doing the spark plugs anyway which is what I did and it’s fine. If I was the one who installed those spark plugs I would know for sure and I would know to only put a very small amount but since I wasn’t I must assume the person prior did not use any or far too much either way Better safe than sorry 👌 cause oil around your spark plug isn’t normally a good sign.

I just had the rad moved forward and just grabbed and wiggled and pulled until it came loose. It’s a pain I guess but manageable. I didn’t really do anything special.

macattack949 correct that is what the manual says. 1mm is .04 inches just a different measurement. If it fits the gap is too big

Riakos you must have missed it about 50 seconds in the video I had a pop up that said you only have to remove the side fairings not the front/nose fairing. I just happened to already have mine off so you don’t have to remove it to get at the spark plugs. My CBR600RR was a 2006.

Riakos ignore removing the front fairing just remove the side fairings and then follow along with the video

Riakos no problem. Yeah just basically dab some engine oil on your finger and coat the threads. Just helps with the high heat so they don’t seize and the next time they need replaced easier to remove etc. Just regular oil though doesn’t have to be a lot just enough to lightly coat the threads of the spark plugs before installing.

Yes I do have aftermarket grips on the 600RR. The ones that are in it are made by Pro Grip.

LMAO maybe a little overkill but doesn't hurt to play it safe. Definitely should at least check your plugs after and before every riding season and maybe even in the middle just to see how things are inside the engine.

Don’t drain it at all that’s the entire point of just moving it forward. Many people think and show that to do this you remove the rad and drain it. Farthest from the truth. This is the exact way the Honda service manual says to do it. No need to drain anything just unbolt what I showed and move it forward to give you access. Like I said this is the exact way done in the service manual not “my way”.

You’re not removing the rad just moving it forward and out of the way a bit. Everything is still attached. This is literally the proper way 👌

Carl Roberts you could probably get away with not taking them off but it’s easier. Especially since you have to move the radiator out of the way

Carl Roberts BUT I will say by removing the side fairings you are giving yourself more room to work, less likely to accidentally scratch something and it’s just ten times easier in general 👌 it’ll probably take slightly longer to do over just taking the side fairings off quick and put safely aside.

@@MotoBikeMike silly question is there a way of knowing if your sparkplugs are healthy without takeing them out i have a cbr600rr 2007 its done just over 14,000 miles and has full service history.ladt service done 13.295 miles so when will it need oil change filter and plugs checked again
