Always though this looks like a bit of a job to perform. Glad to hear your honest review of the tricky parts of the job, rather than performing the magic cut scene of other videos where everything has come apart. Did you find the PAIR system got in the way much?

It was a bit of a nightmare to be honest! Once I removed the parts in the video it was manageable though. If I was to do the job again I would defintly be inclined to remove the front wheel and the radiator to make life easier!

How much extra work would removing the radiator take? If you are changing plugs at 20000mls a drain of rad fluid and replnish would not be a bad thing eh?

Absolutely, that was my original plan. I have a separate video on the coolant flush though I didn't remove the radiator in the end. From memory once you've removed the bolts to lower the radiator its only two hose clips and you should be able to remove it. 👍

@@FrontWheelUp Contacted a local radiator specialist, to clean the rad and pressure test it, as it is full of road crud., 30 quid plus vat. Bargain, so gonna do this in the next few weeks. Thanks for the vid.

@@FrontWheelUp Wow. Well, did the spark plugs today on my 600 rr I removed the rad and took it to be professionaly cleaned and presure tested. Easy enough to get the rad out, but had hells work with the bottom fan bolt, as it lower then the other bolts it was very corroded and it only came free with gentle torque with a ring spanner and some gentle heat from a blow torch! After this I thought, plugs will be a lot easier. I can't imagine how any one can do it with the rad in place. God knows how you managed? I have small hands / fingers and it took me well over an hour. I removed the coil loom which gave a little more room. Replacing the plugs is all about feel, very difficult to see if you are cross thredding, Still at 19,000 mls I can now flush the cooling system when I get the rad back. Thanks for the vids. How is your 600 rr now, all done?

Haha there was lots of bad language involved! I removed the coil pack too once I got to cylinder number 2, really hard work and wasn't the easiest to try and do while filming! Glad you managed to get it all sorted. 👌 The RR is all good thanks, Im on the hunt at the moment for something to restore for a new series on the channel...quite fancy doing a Cafe Racer or something a bit different. I have some future 600RR videos planned too. Thanks for coming back to give an update, its really nice to know the videos have helped you out!

Have the 2010. What a bitch to service. And if I have it serviced at a shop they charge me double that of my friend with a z1000.

Ouch! I do remember the iridium tipped plugs being stupidly expensive. 👎
