I was hoping you would highlight that the kids' parents made plans on Halloween but didn't seem to have any notion of their own kids' trick-or-treating plans, and they even had to coax their babysitter into carving a jack-o-lantern, well into the evening. Thanks Mom and Dad, glad it's all about you on what is every other kid's favorite night of the year...

It's not a Plot Hole. You're assuming that there's no way that he could learn. But... Loomis talks about how they are constantly taking him to different Facilities IN HIS FIRST SCENE. Now they don't SAY that he sat quietly watched, but, I mean, come on, Michael is clearly *at least* on the spectrum, so it's not hard to infer.

Because her surname is Curtis, after her father, actor Tony Curtis. Lee is probably an homage to her mother's surname, but spelled as a name instead of a Surname.

One thing I really liked about Halloween when I finally saw it was the lack of gore and the fact that you don't see the knife actually penetrating anything, even when Michael gets stabbed in the eye.

Tbh I think Leatherface and Billy from Black Christmas are much scarier. Plus dude is like 70 now and the franchise wants us to believe he's still alive, murdering people like a 30 year old man who never was able to run even in his physical prime. The theme song is what makes it. Nothing more.

This movie seriously scarred me in my late teens. Especially the scene with the bodies flopping out of the cupboard. I'd had a nightmare shortly before I saw the movie where my parent, throats cut, swung out of an elevator when the door opened in just the same way. (The elevator was in the Univ of Texas tower, where the Charles Whitman shooting happened.)

the one where the girl is obsessed with Thor and then the guy who saved them looks like Thor and half the characters were total perverts I think and then they sang the Blues. if they remade that movie it would NEED to include the Thor fangirl and the Blues. Also I just realized With movies like Monster Squad being hue in the 80s and looking at the modern era the movies today are just food fights, cartoon gags, low budget sets popular slang , kids being smarter then adults and home alone traps. We don't see the "Everyone is a pervert" thing any more. also a lot of 80s movies were still part of a very politically incorrect and homophobic world. So much you can't get away with any more.

LOL, this was great, I've been waiting for this and it didn't disappoint. To be honest, I know it gets hate but Halloween 3: Season of the Witch is underrated af, Carpenter concluded Myers story in Halloween 2 because he didn't want the series to get repetitive where Michael kills, gets killed, comes back to kill, rinse & repeat. So he was gonna do a different horror story for every Halloween, making it like a horror anthology but when it came out, fans were pissed it wasn't about Myers and didn't give it a chance. Jamie Lee Curtis made a cameo as the voice announcing the curfew and it probably has one of the most underrated movie endings ever. Classic John Carpenter to leave you with a cliffhanger hehe.

Most people call 3 an underappreciated cult gem - and often claim that it only gets hate for switching away from Michel Myers. But... Remember - it's a bokers movie about evil corporate witches out to sacrifice children by making them buy their masks - that have been made with magic microchips constructed with shavings from Stonehenge - that transform their insides into bugs and snakes - and shoot frickin' lasers! And don't forget the robot henchmen. Yeah.... This movie is freakin' wacky AF.

TheBraunMachine2011 I lurce Halloween III. TBH I kind of think that Halloween II was a mistake. It predisposed audiences to reject the anthology plans, thus causing the III backlash. And while II is a pretty solid film, it really didn't do much to make the lore better (and no, Laurie being a Myers did not make the lore better, IMHO, I am glad the new movie supposedly dispenses with that)

You want have a good night. Watch the 2011 The Thing and then watch the 1982's The Thing. Not only does the 1982 version hold up but it actually actually follows the 2011 version nearly perfectly

One great bit of trivia I found out was that at the South Pole Station, they have a yearly tradition after the last plane leaves for the winter. They do a marathon of The Thing from Another World, and both the 1982 and 2011 The Thing. That's just got to be the absolute best/worst way to view those movies. In an Antarctic research station where you're at your most isolated, binge a bunch of movies about isolated people in an Antarctic research station being killed by a shape-shifting alien. The winter is from February to October, and there is almost no contact with the outside world during that time. And for most of that time it's one long night. So yeah, it's got to be a really crazy experience to watch The Thing at that point.
