Thank you for this episode. When we beat AV last time Højlund wasn't much of a threat at the back of their minds. Now it's a different story. Our attack is hot on three fronts with Bruno as well. Let them keep a narrow sitting back defence keep three forward running into the box and attack with combination plays between them. The penalty box plays in the hands of Højlund when he moves the AV players will hesitate to tackle him giving him that fraction of a second to find his thrunderous shot like he scored against WH.

Makes sense to create space for Bruno but I wouldn't drop back Case. He's best used in winning the midfield battles and second balls like against west ham. I don't trust him enough in the back line lunging and missing tackles to open up space that Maguire won't catch up

Nah coz you need defensive security to allow both Shaw and Dalot to push forward and you don’t really want Bruno or Mainoo dropping into the back line

Nah, I agree with this guy I don't trust Casemiro so deep he is sluggish and gives the ball away so much and can't beat a press well.

@@AtlantisFootball id rather play Mainoo there due to his composure. villa will be at it. I'd keep Casemiro deep too so it's a double pivot not this roaming cms and one pivot ETH has been playing.

@@zinedinezidane4771 but you need more composure in the holding midfield position because you are receiving the ball with your back to goal under pressure immediately but in the back line you are always facing forward when you receive the ball. Would be better to have the more press resistant player as the single pivot and the better long passer and tackler in the back line

You don't think Camara will start tracking Rashford instead if he moves further inside the pitch? Bruno won't be a direct threat if he's dropping back.

That’s why I specified they rotate into those positions. Villa will expect Bruno to be in that half space role which he will to start with and when he drops, like he did with Havertz, Kamara should follow him into the midfield. Bruno will be a direct threat if Kamara doesn’t follow him into those deep positions because he’ll be able to turn and play those long passes over the back line for Garnacho on the opposite side
