Just got this used '08 R6 a few months ago. It has the LED front and rears and the hyper flash syndrome. I was looking under the passenger seat because I never have, saw some disconnected red and black wires, connected them and now my signals don't work at all. Where are the fuses located, under the driver seat? I definitely need one of these new LED relays though. Maybe it will help with the signals blown but I suspect a fuse wherever that is. I'm researching at the moment. I will get one to get normal flash speed in the near future. Thanks for the great video

Hey Martin here again I've just got round to looking at my flash relay and it is defo a two pin but there is also a lead beside it looks as if it's four pin it's not connected to anything. Do you think this is a universal thing for these bikes going to different countries or is this lead for something else ??? Anyway going to order ur flash relay and tail tidy I am sure the relay will work on my bike.

ok, got your relay, it's really "plug and play", works great! Just I wish I had such an easy access to seat bolts as you have.
@TSTindustries
@TSTindustries 10 жыл бұрын
It's pretty much just as easy with the OEM seat. You just pull up on the seat cushion over the screws, and put your allen key in and turn the screws out.

Thank you for this video. Big help with my Yamaha R6 2014. Just a question: My new LED lights come with 2 resistors (1 for each indicator light), apparently to fix the same error. Should I install them in combination with your Flasher Relay?
@TSTindustries
@TSTindustries 2 жыл бұрын
No. Please use only the relay. The resistors are redundant if you've installed our flasher relay, and they cause a higher current draw without the need

Always happy to help. Shipping to the UK is sometimes delayed by customs holdups. We have had customers complain about this many times but we cannot control the UK customs officials. The only way to steer around this is to purchase express shipping but the price on that is steep.

So, you can not have front running lights with Gen2 installed? I have stock front, and after market rear, and I've just ordered Gen2.
@TSTindustries
@TSTindustries 10 жыл бұрын
The ability to have running lights is not determined by the relay. If you have your stock signals up front, or replaced them with aftermarket signals that have running lights then you will retain the running light function. The relay just controls the flash rate of the signaling circuit and has no effect on the running light circuit

Does this relay work only on the front turn signals or does it work for an integrated tail light as well? Or is that a different relay?
@TSTindustries
@TSTindustries 10 жыл бұрын
Eric Thorgalsen The relay works for both the front and rear signals.

You must be writing from Europe. In Europe these bikes have a four pin relay. This relay will not work in that case.

my head lights and left turn signal went out on my 2000 yzf r6, fuses are fine do you think it could be my relays that are bad
@TSTindustries
@TSTindustries 9 жыл бұрын
The flasher relay is not part of the headlight circuit so I doubt that the solution will be as simple as that. What type of signals do you have in the front and what type in the rear? Do you have access to a multimeter? we can help you troubleshoot but you will need a meter and knowledge how to use it.

Will this flasher relay work on my Yamaha R6S 2008, I also got the Halo signal lights will it work with that ?
@TSTindustries
@TSTindustries 3 жыл бұрын
Our LED flasher relay...YES. If you got the Halo-GTR signals then I don't know if they will fit properly on that bodywork. That has not been tried here. If you got the R6 version then those were made for 2008+, and if you got the R3 version then those were developed for 2015+ R3.

Installed flasher relay and one side works but the other side is staying solid as the light stays on when the bike is started up. Tried every way possible to find the right connection for the blinker to go off and only work when turning but not successful. Anyway I could talk to someone from TST?
@TSTindustries
@TSTindustries 10 жыл бұрын
Melvin, this sounds like you wired your running light into the signaling circuit in the front. You need to take apart your front signal wiring and ensure that you only wire in the signaling circuit. The running light leads need to be disconnected and taped off. This will solve your issue. If you have more issues you can call our help line posted on our website and someone will help you.

Installed this on my '15 R6 and it slowed down the flash (which is good) but it literally has a ONE SECOND delay when I trigger the signal? Seems a bit dangerous when I make lane changes because it lights/activates late and other riders/drivers won't see it. Is this normal? If so I plan on switching back to OEM and just living with hyper flash.
@KeithFox

+pancakes562 maybe you're not used to it?
@_junney
@_junney 8 жыл бұрын
+Keith Fox Right now I'm just putting up with it but it particularly bothers me when I'm splitting lanes cause I have to wait until it starts flashing.
@TSTindustries
@TSTindustries 8 жыл бұрын
+pancakes562 It surely does not take a second to start flashing unless the flash rate is not adjusted properly on the relay. The relay comes pre-set to 85 cycles per minute so for every 1/85 minute you have a cycle of off and on. The relay is designed to use the low part of the cycle first to charge up a capacitor, and then continue on/off/on, so on. One entire cycle should take 0.706 seconds, so the low part of the cycle should take approx. 0.35 seconds. If it is taking longer then you can increase your flash rate with the potentiometer inside the relay to achieve this proper flash timing.
@KeithFox
@KeithFox 8 жыл бұрын
TSTindustries I didn't know it was possible to increase your flash rate with the potentiometer inside the relay. Never knew these could open up for adjusting!

on my '09 (Canada) my relay was behind the battery, in between the gas tank and battery. just a heads up if you cant find yours! there is another video for r6 relay locations for older model R6's prior to 2008 and it shows where its located behind the battery. for some reason my '09 was behind the battery.
@TSTindustries

+RJ M (Rydiggs) That is where the relay was on the 2006-2007 model. The OEM location for the 2008+ model is as per this video. Our video on the 2006-2007 model shows the location you are talking about and can be seen here kzfaq.info/get/bejne/Y6ekecmc2bjNaH0.html

+TSTindustries yes i understand that. i was just saying that for some reason on my 2009 r6 it was in the 2006-2007 location. i dont know why but it was. so if for some reason you cant find it check behind the battery. i ran my VIN and my bike is 2009.

I have never seen that before. Are you the first owner of this bike? If not perhaps someone before you had rebuilt it with a 06-07 subframe and subtray and had to rearrange the components to fit.

+James Pearson Check the fuses. Also check the wiring of any installed aftermarket components on the circuit that the fuse protects. There is likely an uninsulated contact somewhere causing a short circuit and blowing the fuse.
I wish I could change THIS fast! 🤣
