As an introvert I’m forcing myself to go to an event tonight where I’ll likely know absolutely no one so this video comes at the right time

A lot of people hating on introverts not realizing introverts can find peace in the most simple things extraverts would find frustrating.

Being an introvert is different from being socially anxious. Being an introvert means that you find your inner world more interesting than what's around you. You can be quite relaxed and confident, but not willing to express yourself too much. On the other hand, you can be socially anxious, but you would die to be more comfortable to express yourself. I think I am both. When I am extroverted and relaxed, the micro-expressions of people tell me that I'm too much. When I'm introverted and relaxed, people think I'm a bit arrogant. I regulate myself to be more introverted sometimes because I tend to talk too much and overshare. I regulate myself to be more extroverted when I am socially anxious and unfortunately people can tell. I really thought I hid my anxiety well with my last date, but she told me I was just as shy as she was (I was not shy or introverted, just anxious).

I’m 17, I noticed a night and day change when I realized we are programmed to have low self esteem since we were children. and it stuck with us since then and we’ve conditioned ourselves to think that way. The best fact I learned is that those thoughts and those opinions are fake and the only ones that matter are the good ones about you that you and others portray on you. Because the one who puts you down doesn’t see your value and the person who lifts you up sees what your worth. Also don’t change who you are to impress someone like a girl or a friend, improve who you are…

Inner voice part is so on point i can't even think doing something positive or social and its already all over my head giving me ten thousand reasons I suck

Today this girl recently talked to me today and I honestly didn't feel nervous. She asked me about someone was absent today and I told her I didn't know. She also asked me about my brother who was coming in and where was he at. It was just small talk but she smiled when I was talking to her. She seemed nice though she is an introvert like myself.

I’m 22 and I moved out on my own after college for work, I used to be extroverted and be able to talk to anyone. After moving I was alone all the time so the voice in my head grew worse and worse and I became insecure and anxious all the time. it took a lot of work and now I overcame it and am becoming my own self again due to videos similar to this one and podcasts.

Man this is the first of these dating coach videos that resonated with me a bit, not knowing what to say at all is right now my biggest struggle not just with girls, but people in general. Last week was rough, but I promised myself to try and stop trying this week, chill out a bit.

I might be wrong cuz i recently started learning new concepts and being introvert is one of them I'm an introvert myself Yk, i had crowd anxiety and all these crap but it started to slowly fade away when i started to break the ice and communicate with people and found out that they don't really bite, some of 'em still may do 😂 So introvert is not being shy or antisocial, but maybe it means you have better function doing things by yourself, or you just enjoy being alone more, or you might be brainstormed in your time alone which is a gift that mostly introvert people possess, but that doesn't mean you can't sit around other people and learn things from them, at least that's the case for myself And i think the level of being introvert is different for everyone Im like 60 to 65% introvert And 35 to 40% extrovert Yk what i'm sayin?

There is absolutely nothing wrong with being an introvert. I have always been one. But, if I’m offered to go out with friends, I will never say no, because I crave camaraderie and fun once in a while. Being an introvert does not make you a pussy. Sometimes we’re not comfortable being loud and obnoxious, we don’t need to be. It’s often those people who are insecure and have to prove it wrong to their mates and themselves.

Hey man, you probably won’t receive this comment, but I’m 18 years old, turning 19 this year, and lately, I’ve been struggling a lot mentally and emotionally, and sometimes I’m not sure if I’m happy or depressed, I just wish someone can listen to me. I am a musician, and I have two gigs this week, and I am under a lot of stress, and I fear that the people that I play with they seemed to me like they’re just my friends that listen, but they seem to me just band members that don’t give a damn, I try to talk, but for some reason I just hold back, thinking if they’d not listen.
