How to change a clutch on an Audi A4 2000-2005 1.9 TDI (AVF engine) and other VAG models!

Unfortunately our boat engine is still complete toast.. We have done a lot of other things lately. We changed out the Clutch, Duo Mass Flywheel, Pressure Plate and Bearing on an Audi A4 from 2000-2005 1.9 TDI. This clutch kit is used in a lot of other VAG models like Audi A4 1.9 TDI 2000-2005 (AVF engine), Audi A6 1.9 TDI 2001-2005 (AVF engine), Volkswagen Passat 1.9 TDI 2000-2005 (AVF engine)
As many of you know we still have a full time job next to Absolute Rebuilds. Next to that we want to keep our videos interesting with these huge builds, so we changed our upload frequency to every Thursday!

You can easily get the gearbox down without removing the driveshaft the whole way. Just remove them on gearbox side, thats enough

Is the gearbox heavier than a 1.8t petrol gearbox, mines the 5speed AVB.

Great vid mate , couple of questions; worth replacing the rear seal on the gearbox while everything is out ? How many hours did you spend doing the clutch / DMF swap ?

Most likely it takes 4-6 hours if u know what ur doing, if u got no clue maybe 12hours but lable every goddamn screw so u know where they going or record u taking it apart then watch in reverse🤣

its just a little longer and heavier than 6 spd gearbox, you dont need to remove the driveshafts, just undo the 6 bolts and slide them aside. if you want to take them out to make your life easier, you dont need to undo the knuckle, just turn the steering wheel

about 5 hours, thats what i managed to do in my garage with jackstands, also 3rd time i've changed it on this type of car

hi man, was it your customer's car? Doing a test drive with such oily hands, I hope you didn't charge any labor costs.. but paid to him, to cover some deep cleaning instead..
