This was so helpful as I hadn’t painted for years I had forgotten how to do this. Most others on KZfaq are not explained as clearly.

would the printed image need to be square if my canvas is square?

just use a kneaded eraser.Thar will in a mild way erase pencil lunes without damaging the paper or canvas
@SlickRicShow Жыл бұрын
I know this was asked 6 years ago, but if you didn't figure it out, u need to use a kneaded eraser. If the lines don't come off entirely, paint over with ur medium you painted the canvas with originally i.e. gesso, white paint, etc.
@monicareed6328 ай бұрын
Also use a spray bottle & a micro fiber rag & spray the canvas let it set for a minute then ball your rag up & rub canvas in circles.This should help a bit if your markings are to dark & it also open the pores on the canvas to make painter smoother.

After erasing unwanted pencil grid lines, you can actually paint over the erased areas with white paint, as is the case with this zebra example.

So however many squares you have on the pic (14), you need to have the same number on the canvas?

If it is indoors, I would use a data show projector on the enlarged canvas instead of the grid method. Thanks for the video.

You should do a video of doing this method u make it sound simple. I thought of this idea too. What's the set up for it?
@megsm1839 Жыл бұрын
@@mannyuribe8780 you just project the photo onto the canvas and trace.
