HOW TO: Honda crome datalogging and basics of tuning.

Күн бұрынIn this video we go over how to datalog and begine tuning the car using crome pro as our tuning platform. I go over the basic tools and devices needed for the process and how to set up a more advanced basemap. If you haven't watched my previous video on how to start using crome and how to create a basic basemap I highly suggest watching that video. One thing i forgot to mention is that during this process on your basemap under option on crome you must have "disable oxygen sensor (open loop)" checked and enabled. The car must have the O2 aka the oxygen sensor disabled for this to work correctly.

Good shit dude, just ordered a hulog. I've been tuning blind with an ostrich for years it's about time I start data logging. Can't wait to see the cell the car is in and not just guessing lol

I bought a crx all motor set up with chrome. Can I hook up a laptop and buy software or download and mess with two step configuration? Two step is currently set at 9,000 and would like it like 5or 6k

Can this Hulog work alone with HTS?I see it can be used with the Chrome Pro alone

I'm honestly not sure about that one. It should allow you to data log to any program meant for data logging

Super legit. Subbed! Man I cannot get my laptop to connect to the ecu. I’ve done everything to my knowledge as to what forums say, the crome user manual and I just cannot get it to connect. Is there anything you have to do to the ecu to datalog? I have Pro bought it specifically for data logging. I didn’t tune my current map but the only thing that’s holding me back to learning is connecting to my ecu. Did everything you did and the manual. I’m going back through your video, others then the user manual.

What kind of laptop are you using? You might need to go into the settings and see what com port the data logging cable is assigned to or if you need to assign one to it. Also make sure you have added "RTP/quick data logger" to the rom. Also have you cut the "j12 jumper"?

i am using a lenovo it has windows 10. ill double check the ports. i have not cut the j12 jumper. hmm..no codes will be thrown if i do?

@@ajradel to be able to data log with crome the j12 jumper has to be cut. I can almost guarantee this is why you cant datalog. No it will not cause any codes. Its cut on my ecu and on every other honda running crome and datalogging. Some other programs like hondata dont require it but with crome it is required to be cut in order to datalog.

Good job brother love from.Pakistan.Karachi I have blue top h23 ecu is Po8 3inch exhaust piping with action clutch i donot know what stage is Action clutch it runs well ..anyways my ecu is stock i want to chipped new your suggestion my car is mitsubishi lancer93 with h23 motor

I buy all my chipping stuff from www.moates.net the chipping kit is only about 20 US dollars. As long as you can solder well it's not very hard to install.

My biggest concern is making sure the engine doesn’t spark knock without having a knock sensor or dyno to see where advancing the timing no longer creates more power. Is there a way to tune the timing maps so you know it won’t ping?

I know I'm a little late to the answer on this but you can build a pair of knock headphones for really cheap. A Google search for DIY engine knock headphones should lead you in the right direction.

@@jdmjedi777 that is good to know for the future. I ended up leaving stock ignition maps for the engine in question and it was fine at 11.5:1 compression, no spark knock. For a higher comp setup i’ll keep this in mind, thank you!
