Beautiful edge! If I did this, I might use a fairly thin crochet hook and transfer the stitches to the needles. For me this would be easier - I think.

The cuff is definitely less stretchy, but I find with some negative ease (maybe 2 cm less sock circumference than foot circumference?) it doesn't really make a difference in how much they slip.

Hi! Here I used 2.5 mm, I also use 2.75 mm for socks.
