First, this absolutely can be done. That said, it won't be easy. I've fought like hellfire for these last 25 pounds and I'm now in the under-300-pound club. And then...I had to have emergency spinal surgery. 24 screws, 2 strips, a rod - a 14 inch scar, and enough pain to occupy Congress. I've got a responsibility though, to lose weight and make sure my surgeon's hard work isn't damaged by my bad habits and lifestyle. I'm sticking to it. No soda, no crap food - and your advice on preparing for shifts and changes is wonderful advice. You gotta make sure your plan is future-proof with forethought and willpower.

@@trainerjoes hey there, I wanted to give you an update! I started your eating plan and gave it 7 days to see if the scale would move. I weighed on day 8 and the scale is down 9 pounds! I’m super excited to see the scale go down!! I did the 1/2 cup of plain oatmeal with 1 cup almond milk for breakfast, I had the egg and apple for lunch, I skipped on the walnuts and had a protein shake for my afternoon snack and I did a salad with all kinds of veggies and 6 oz chicken every night for supper. If I wanted something at night, I had the Quest, bar but some evenings I passed just because I felt satisfied. I am pretty stoked and can say it really works!! Let’s see how week 2 goes for me! A big thanks to you for putting out videos, they are helping me!!

i'm not gonna lie, the thing that stopped me in the beginning was the bowl of salad. after trial and error i found that i like lettuce and carrots so i'm going with just these 2. my whole life my fat has never gotten in the way but for some reason i feel a sense of urgence to lose it now. for context im 24, 5'7" and 300lbs 💀 ultimate goal being around 150lbs

@@trainerjoes oh i'm actually following what you told us to eat in part one; large salad with 6 ounces of chicken (or fish), 1 boiled egg, 1/2 cup of oatmeal mixed with water, 1/4 cup walnuts, apple and a quest bar.

I started intermittent fasting by just eating later in the morning. I just started learning as I did it what I wanted to try. I tried to think of it as opposite what the diet industry says because it never has worked for me and frustrates me. Breakfast or lunch. Didn't know what it was then. Inflation made me rethink breakfast and I quit cereal. Don't like it. I think following a bunch of rules makes it worse so I don't. If I am really hungry in a.m., I eat. Have lost 16 lbs. and hope to lose much more over time. Probably a couple of years. My health is the reason and there is no going back.

I watched part 1 last year but now I'm taking it seriously now. My brother and I made a bet on me losing 100lbs by December 31,2024. He said I can't, I will prove him wrong and get $100. I had oatmeal and eggs for breakfast. I had fruit as a snack. My lunch was pickles, celery and cheddar cheese. I had a salad for dinner.

Starting your diet method tomorrow. Just weighed in at the doctor today. 41 years old, 6 ft 2 and 445 lbs. Do you remember what video you talk about how after you eat allotted food and you eat more you are eating someone elses food, i like that thinking.

@@RebelwithaCause777 you don’t actually have to count calories but 1,200 is about how many you will likely be eating with this plan.

Hi Joe, My citrus trees are ripe now. Is adding a grapefruit a day ok? Can I put cheese and avocado on the salad or just veggies? I started yesterday and lost 1.3 lbs already. I have 60 lbs to lose. I'm 5' tall and weigh 185. 76 y.o. Thanks for this and the motivation!!

Ive watched the first video and love this idea but I am diabetic and was told by my doctor to absolutely avoid oatmeal, apples, etc. I wish you had a more diabetic friendly plan.

@@kimberlyvalmera I am not a doctor however if you will do my 21 Day Transformation until you have lost most of your excess weight you will likely come off of most if not all of your diabetes medication. This is a very diabetes friendly plan. That would be better than you trying to do the 100 pounds in 6 months by yourself. There is a link in the description.

Hi Trainer Joe. Can I use Stevia in the oatmeal? I dont use it in my coffee...and can I drink plain green tea? Im down 6 lbs in one week! I only have 40 to lose so I've got 34 left to go!

Just one question... is there a substitute for the Quest bar? I'm allergic to Sucralose and all other artificial sweeteners. Stevia and Monk fruit is okay. Your suggestions would be much appreciated. 😊

Hmm, you could replace the quest bar with another apple and additional handful of nuts OR another serving of meat, OR 2 eggs.

Just be aware if if cutting enough calories. The gallbladder doesn't need to work like it used and starts converting the bike onto gallstones when losing 3 plus lbs per week at a low calorie diet. This will eve Tully go into passing gallstones and blockage and extreme pain and removal. Just putting it out there.

IMHO the “risks” associated with losing weight are not worthy to be compared to the risk of staying this big.

i really just want to lose the visceral fat in my midsection. it makes me so uncomfortable. my stomach feels so full even if i only eat a small salad. i can't wear anything up around my waist because it's so uncomfortable. i can't lie on my stomach or rest my arms in that area.

As a type 2 diabetic is there a substitute for the Oatmeal, I'm kind of following your plan minus the oatmeal, nuts, I'm using an Avocado and blueberries. I'm also trying intermittent fasting 16-8. But 3 weeks in I've lost 14lbs.

If you are following this plan then it is unlikely that the oatmeal will be a problem. I would do the “Better Oats” steel cut with flax. Of course I yield to your dr.

As long as you have excess fat on your body I would not say it is dangerous. However you may not feel like working out as much since you will be at such a calorie deficit.

@@doodstanabe8156 find any premade dressing with 30 cals or less per serving and use no more than a serving. You may use your own but not with oil and/or honey. Lemon and vinegar with salt and pepper are fine.

​@@trainerjoes Can I ask why you don't recommend honey and oil in homemade dressing? Most dressings on the shelf have oil and sugar added, and as long as it's under 30 calories, I can't see what the difference would be. Especially if you keep the ratio of oil/honey to vinegar lower than most recipes call for. I'm about to start your plan when I go shopping next, so I want to make sure I'm following what you have planned without confusion!

Once you lose 100 lbs you will be able to add foods to your new life. Since you lost 100 lbs you will not eat like you use to eat, hopefully. Not just eat like a normal person and you should be fine. You should have a good idea as to what that looks like if you watch my videos.

Any ‘diet’ is going to be harder while breastfeeding because any time you feel hungry you will most likely be concerned that it is negatively effecting the milk production and or the health of the baby. Even though that is not likely the case it can feel that way. Are you breastfeeding now? How much longer?

Thank you for your response. Yes, I am breastfeeding, the baby is only 4 months old. I tried to wean so I start loose weight but she refuses to drink anything else. . I don’t know, just so desperate, I know my fault I gained, I indulged to the fullest this pregnancy, now I have to pay off😭

@@irinuta1995 got it. I am not encouraging you to stop breastfeeding by any means. Why don’t you read my book while you are breastfeeding to gain a new mindset and then start my 21 Day Transformation when you stop breastfeeding? Then after one or two rounds of my 21 Day Transformation you may feel comfortable following the lose 100 lbs in 6 months protocol. Make sense?

Yes, add veggies like broccoli, cauliflower, onions, cucumbers, green, red, and yellow peppers, mushrooms, etc. just avoid corn and peas for now.
