This week Ian make a Suzuki Bandit or GSX-R engine Stand to help with a new engine rebuild project. He fires up his new band saw, angle grinder and TIG welder to make a heavy duty frame that will help with any engine work when the engine is out of the bike.
Fancy a Classicmotorbikes.net T-shirt or hat? have a look at the link below, we appreciate any purchase you make it helps us keep the light on in the garage.

Hi Ian, it's Dan again. Wow, that is some fine craftsmanship.I did end up getting a Abba lift, and started tearing my Bandit down a couple days ago. I hit 54,000 miles on the 'ol girl and still runs good. I took it off the lift today and the engine is out of the frame. Now all the work begins ! I have a 8'x4' table that was being thrown away at a collage chemistry lab while I was doing tile work there. My Bandit covers the whole top all in pieces along with marked plastic bags full of fasteners. I didn't realize how much dirt and grime I accumulated over the years ! I would defiantly need some skilled help to make the stand, I do know a couple people. With that many miles on the bike , it would be nice to put new pistons and rings in but I'm a little light in the wallet. It will get a new paint job, forks need to be taken apart and cleaned ( has Race Tech) and put back with clean oil. Shock is a Works Performance and there is a local guy that can go over it. Valves will need adjusted ,probably more cleaning than anything else. The engine is laying on a piece of wrestling mat now, I was just looking in the exhaust ports with a flashlight, (not that I know what Im looking for) and seen #4 cylinder was a little darker. As long as the engine is out now sure would be nice to give it a go over. Oh, and I'll get new clutch plates too. Hope all is well with you, Dan

Thanks Ian for the great idea and this episode. Im just done with my engine Stand for my GSX 750. Your stand looks better than mine. But it gets the job done anyway
