Hey Ian. I really appreciate your videos. Sad to see there has not been any I a while. I hope you could answer a question. I am also a big man, and I have big problems finding gear that fit. Do you have any suggestions on where to get quality gear that fits a big man? 😅

I’ve had both. The conclusion I came to was this; even rebuilt 6 pot calipers with new pistons and seals, are still crap afterwards. They’re better than before, but a fully rebuilt 4 pot caliper is better than the fully rebuilt 6 pot caliper. Hands down the 4 pot caliper wins.

What better: running two 2piston calipers or a single 4piston caliper on the rear ?

All of the gsxr oil cooled and the Katana motors and Bandit motors were durable smooth motors with fantastic power for oil cooled , the way they designed the oil circulation is brilliant and I have run those motors and never overheated even it gets very hot here.

I have not seen a early GSXR on the road here in ages, they are durable but nearly all were lost. The tires were narrow and the frames were wonky compared to now but then they were something and a stunning looking machine still.

6 pots for me are superior in all ways. I think today we have become lazy and expect bike parts to perform like a car - ie keep working for years and years without maintainence.... I think its due to rubber dust seal BOOTS that cars have. Plus a bike isn't used like a car and there's an EXPECATION that a rider will service correctly and keep that bike tip top.... I suspect newer riders will have no expectation to throw some love on the bike. Bleeding brakes can be a nightmare sometimes - I think folk are struggling with them mounted in situ. I bleed them off the fork leg - so I can maniuplate the air flow in cavities etc and get every last bit out of the bleed nipple. Just need to remember to take the space of the brake disc up by inserting something to stop the pistons popping out. Ive never had to back bleed. Never needed to use the cable tie method. I do use a manual vacuum pump and that makes it easy to do. Technically the surface area of friction is directly proportional the braking performance.... imagine a heavy van with little bike brake discs and calipers - it'd be dangerous.

Hello from Alberta Canada. I have a small garage and at first i was looking at a traditional table. Then i found the Big blue lift and the Abba Skylift. Now it's down to two. Abba has three positions, and works off of the frame. BigB Blue works off of the foot pegs (for my 2018 RT). Either one is good in my view. Now which one? Will the wife notice if a few dollars are out of the account?? lol

Ya know, I've watching and watching over the last few days. I bought a Bandit. A 1998 that has been tinkered with. Maybe 15k miles no more. An 18 year old who said "my uncle gave me the bike two years ago." Yada Yada such shenanigans. I thought ~ buy it and sell it. So so low, the price. A gift really. (this is Steve from New Hampshire) Anyway. So there ya have it. My bike is Black. A love affair. Got the tag and all the paperwork ship shape last week. I am keeping this bike! Oh yea! Big plans~. Big big plans. And so Thanks so much for this series. You absolutely have my attention. I know not "current." But gold I tell ya. Gold ! Thank you.

It's been a while ~ I don't care~. I have subscribed and I am watching every move~. I was able to get a 1998 with some unknown mileage ~ That is so so so clean. No title but a key. I was going to turn it over for a profit. The price was very very low. The mileage is no more than 20K ~ the digital odometer is messed up. You Brits would be sick to hear. Anyway. Looks like I'll register the bike, get NH plates and make it all proper. This video ~ my bike ~ Is GOLD! Thank you so much for sharing this.

I have a Bandit 1200 07 with only 42000 km and I always change the engine oil every 6 or 7 months because I don't use it much. I went to change the oil recently and, for the first time, some bronze-colored filings appeared. I thought of the worst problems. So I removed the oil filter and opened it to check the amount of filings that were inside it and, to my surprise, there were no filings at all!! How can there be filings in the oil and not in the filter? Any explanation for this problem? Sorry if my English is not correct. I'm using google translator.
