15mm socket
3/8 Drive Ratchet
Flat head screwdriver

All of us older guys were once this age and we made do with what we had to work with. Let’s not be so hard on this guy . We do better when we know better . The video was informative.

Always use a C clamp ,Or caliper tool to compress the caliper piston.

Just a word of warning to anyone doing this job..those clips can be very hard to remove and can snap, not only only can they snap but they can snap in the hole making them very difficult to remove..I nearly try and ease them out of the way rather than remove them completely 👍👍🇮🇪

you should never let the caliper hang like that, it could damage the rubber pipe

I have done a lot of brake jobs in 46 years as a mechanic. I have never, nor would I ever, used a hatchet. Also, no jackstand, no lube anywhere. You're gonna get hurt if you're not already dead.

There are a few different brands you can get. Type into google "2005 Ford Focus brake pads" and you should be met with what you need.

So does the caliper piston need to be pushed back in all the way?

Does the bleeder valve need to be open when the caliper piston is pushed back in ?

James Reynolds doesn’t have to be. Makes it really difficult to push but so you don’t have to bleed it’s better not to

James Reynolds no. No air can enter the system unless the valve or bleeder is open

Firstly NEVER let the calliper hang off the hydraulic hose pipe as you have done 😳 Oh dear how awkwardly was this done. No cleaning No copper slip grease !!! No mention of releasing the fluid tank cap 😩

Also one of my first videos before I took ASE certification. Definitely would do it different today.
