+reelFLgirl it's a good skill to know especially if you ever break done after fishing all day, which I have several times. You almost always break down when every place to get parts is closed. Thansks for watching and for the comment.

It would have been helpful to show the installation complete, including the tightening and subsequent loosening of the nut. Not everyone knows that too snug a fit is not the right thing to do, as is too loose. Showing how one arrives at that perfect tension amount is critical. Nice video, otherwise, thanks.

If your going to do a how to video show the whole job. How tight, how much grease did you pump in? Ect

Sorry for not including that info. I hand tighten the castle nut finger tight until it stopped, then backed it off just a little so the cotter pin fit into the next indentation of the castle nut. Then I bent the two ends of the pin so it could not slide out. As far as pumps of grease , I stopped when it started oozing out but the important thing with boat trailer bearings is regular maintenance. No matter how well your hub is sealed, or how much grease is in it, regularity putting it in the lake or river will eventually lead to contamination, that’s why I check mine all the time. Again sorry for the lack of information, thanks for watching!

@@cory5517 From everything I read and watched on KZfaq there should be a little play but not much. Check out this article on etrailer site www.etrailer.com/question-101936.html it says the movement should not be more than 1/4" inch.

My apologies Josh for leaving out putting the nut back on and tapping on the bearing buddy. Here is a link with detailed instructions if you need more information than I have provided in this video www.etrailer.com/question-101936.html

@@ArkansasFishingVideos You left out removing the nut, replacing the nut, the cotter pin, everything really. It was basically a shot of a complete wheel, followed by a fully disassembled system down to the axle, followed by a picture of the wheel.
