Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, I don’t give torque specifications on my page. I leave that to the viewers discretion so that I am not liable in any way. I just show how things are physically done in my videos. New factory pads come with new caliper bolts which have new micro encapsulation (lock-tight). As far as aftermarket pads, you would have to apply new lock-tight if they don’t come with bolts. Yup, for the rear you need a scan tool to retract the E-Brake then from there is is fairly similar other than twisting in the caliper piston. Sometimes the lock actuator behind the door gets stuck or completely stops working altogether. Sometimes you can get get lucky if you stand next to it with your key and hit unlock while you lightly hit the door with the pinky side of your fist. If not, you would have to gain access to it by removing the passenger rear wheel and fender liner. There is a physical switch covered in a small boot on the back side of the actuator. Once you switch it open you could get the door open. When you get to that point it would probably be smart to just replace it. You have to remove the door assembly and framing that goes around the filler neck/gas cap as one piece. I have done plenty of these. Pretty common part failure. I appreciate it, trying to release one ever week now.

That can be a symptom that they are due for replacement, most brake pads have a piece built in that causes the brakes to squeal when they get low. It could also just be the type of material the brake pads are, some are not as quiet as others.
