Isn't she a clever girl?! A group of kids walking home from school today asked if they could say hello to Dempsey, and he backed away from them apart from the one little boy who crouched down beside him. He took treats from him quite happily, and then I had a procession of little six year olds taking a great from my pouch to give to Dempsey. All the mothers were eyerolling as this chattering bunch of horrible small children all went for the title of Dog Whisperer.😂😂Being so sweet and gentle, before carrying on on their way home chasing each other. Xxx

What a smart little boy he was. A dog whisperer for sure. Dempsey is a good boy putting up with all that attention from unpredictable, small humans 🥰

Excellent video! A friend kept yelling at her dog for peeing in the doorway when she came home from work & my heart went out to him because he was so sweet. It seemed like submissive behaviour & you just confirmed what I thought! I ended up taking & raising her 18 month old puppy until he passed of heart issues at 13. I broke the unwanted behavior by patience, not getting excitable when I first came home, not looking him in the eye, and using a quiet lower toned voice (instead of high excitable voice) until he settled down. I virtually didn't look him in the eye until I put away my things & he calmed down. It was hard because I wanted to cover him in kisses! Thank you for posting. 👏😊

Excellent 👏🏻 it broke my heart to read the first part of your comment because that poor boy didn’t understand why he was being yelled at. I’m so glad you were able to rescue that poor intimidated boy and help him learn confidence ❤️ what a good boy he was. I’m so glad he was loved all the way to the end

@@SweetiePiePets Thank you. I miss him. Honestly, it does take patience & sensitivity, which I know you have in spades! That is why dogs end back up at shelters, training takes time. 😢

Great video! Cozy is a submissive pee-er, for sure. I warn anyone who picks her up to be careful because she may pee on them. Even with us in the morning. None of excite her or pick her up until she has peed on her potty pad. I also try to have her “go potty” before we have guests over so if they do try to pick her up her tank is empty 😂! Definitely going to try these tips!

Thank you for answering my question! I definitely see the problem. We are tall people, my husband is 6'4 and my little Pepe pees every time my husband wants to pet him. I will tell him we now need to get on the floor to be on Pepes level. Lol He is only 2 pounds at 1 year old so I believe everything around him probably scares him. 😂❤️

Thanks, I had always wondered about that. My sweetie pie Baby would submissive pee for just one person and she never did it for the people she loved. I think she most likely thought that she needed to be submissive, just for this person, I wonder, if it was the tone of the voice, as she didn't see this woman very often

Very interesting. May have been her tone of voice, her body language or just some reason why this particular woman made your sweetie pie feel the need to demonstrate she is not a threat. Maybe even a memory she has of a prior interaction with that woman.

was curious to ask: I heard that dogs with blue/red merle coat can be more sensitive to diseases and some said look out for blue eyed ones that they can be also deaf.. is this true ? cause I couple of times saw merle chihuas , other one got both eyes blue and he was healthy! and love merles btw very pretty pups ^^

The eye color is not an indicator of whether or not a Merle is healthy. That’s a misconception. However, breeders must be very careful not to breed 2 dogs that both carry a Merle allele (gene). A single Merle allele is fine, but puppies who inherit 2 Merle are likely to have health problems such as deafness and blindness.
