So this is something I have noticed for a long time (15/20 years long) I seem to be a bit of a Jinx.
In work this is most obvious as its external things that cause change, but those external factors only seem to be around as long as I am.
Its starting to really play on my mind that a bigger group 'suffers' as a result of my presence

You’re right-It’s definitely a mindset thing. It’s like you’re conditioned to “wait for the other shoe to drop.” Catastrophizing is anxiety’s child lol! You and I both know that anything at any time can happen to the jobs we work at. But, we have to redirect our thoughts to just working while we’re on the clock and focus on that in the moment. God forbid, if something does happen to your job you’ll cross that bridge IF or when you get there. Sometimes when we feel anxious, it can mean that whatever we’re worried about, is important to us. Focus on work while you’re at work, and the rest will figure itself out and will overtime be okay. Trust that no matter what happens, you’ll be alright in the end and you will figure it out. But for now-be present.

One thing I will say is that you may feel that your aura seems to always tank the situation is not always, you regular viewers are still here and that is because you are doing something which is successful and positive. Having someone appreciate your videos, your honestly and true self is a powerful energy if you give it some attention and notice ;)

I read a writing exercise that said to describe a room in your house based on the feelings of being in love. Next, write about the same room based on the feelings of feeling betrayed. There will be a difference. It's the same room but the internal feelings will colour the space in different ways. I think that the ebbs and flows of life should be acknowledged and to not pretend it is all perfect, is healthy and realistic👍

First state of any change is pearshape. Any change is defined by changing the shape of some thing or some structure. The shape of the pear will appear as at some point, in most changes. I transitioned from the education sector to social work. The process is 6 years in now. My first workplace (1 year, on/off, part time) was an active dumpsterfire. My second workplace (3 years full time) was and odd place, but transitioned into a dumpster-nova explosion, 2,5 years in. Now I am at place, that had an explosion a year ago, so I consider myself very lucky, as there is probably 4-5 years until the next trash-nova. I have been hired, let go and gone voluntarily throughout this time. Over these six years, my personal life has had all kinds of shapes. Including, but not limited to, pear. What I'm trying to convey, is that your life, your workplace and your work life are better viewed as 3 different entities. They affect each other, but do not resolve to magical thinking.

Interesting thoughts, i dont relate out of experience but i do relate to the feeling and how demoralizing it can be. I relate when trying to apply to jobs, i dont ever feel like i can do what people recommend of "point at very concrete numbers or milestones that youve achieved" when writing resumes or to prepare for interviews . I simply don't know what to point to, what my impact has been, etc. Either my work has been diluted and i dont feel responsible for the success, or i feel like i "jinxed" it in a way and that i could've done more for the project to succeed

Hey Adam good video, going through back and neck issues lately from my work procedures and trying to get moved to another area. From your past videos and experiences I know that I should not ignore this and get a solution as quick as possible. Glad to have you around and I’m not sure if you watched my last video, but I’ve decided a new approach to my life style, 調整、調息、調心 these are things factors of Zen meditation which I’ve started doing every evening for a month now. I want to integrate it in my life not just meditation practice. Translated it means, align the body, align the breath, align the heart/mind So I’ve decided to do one thing once a day so I can align my attention to that task knowing that I will not do it again the same day. It’s been working really well and my self discipline has sky rocketed and I’m much more aware of myself and mind (of course you have bad days, we aren’t always on top form lol) So I’ve always decided to stop looking at my phone and using KZfaq (just once a day) as these are all distractions for the mind and distorts your thoughts and actions to cater to others opinions. So I actually meditate to videos on KZfaq when I do watch one for that day and I’ve decided to only watch channels that really connect with me which are ABcamping, to friend channels and yours. PS: for some reason the first thing that arose in my mind when seeing the title of this video is Jinx the Pokémon haha (Great being able to grow up in the 90s!) best era for gaming lol

Thanks for the comments bud. I have head of that align the body, align the breath, align the heart/mind stuff a while back and honestly I think it is something I should look into myself, I have noticed over a few years now my mind doesnt fire how it used to (overstimulation/poor mental food perhaps) I keep meaning to check into your videos as I am interested in the meditation side of things (something I have struggled with every time I have looked to it) but I wont lie, I end up tunnel visioned and go off a tangent onto something else. It sounds like you are finding things that really seem to be helping in 1 way or another which is awesome to hear and glad you are sharing with others too! Keep up the good fight

@@Add- thanks for the reply Adam. Yeah meditation is very life changing once you get past the initial major hurdle of being constantly lost in thought. The main thing is to not get annoyed or frustrated when you catch your self lost in thought multiple times during one sessions. The action of catching oneself lost in thought the the first skill and progression to becoming more aware and mindful of the mind Also one more thing that i do now is don’t become a prisoner to the concept of time. So on my days off I will take away of clocks and just go by daylight and experiences, it’s a great way to let go of the stress of trying to fit a ton of things in one day

Would you ever consider training to do something that isn't too lofty, but you will earn enough to pay the bills and keep the lights on? Learning to become a welder, or lorry driver, that kind of thing?
