Жыл бұрынHi everyone, welcome to this channel. My name is Vasil and I am restoring my 1974 Columbia 45 sailboat. In this episode I finally bought a good dinghy with a 6 hp outboard motor. This dinghy will be my daily transportation to and from this boat while I live aboard.

The dinghy is great, id be careful with thank, it looks like it was under the sun for a while, probably would be wise at least covering it in paint to stop plastic deterioration. Also you will need to fabricate a muffler for that generator(big beer can with insulating foam inside and mesh time in the center to pass the gas should lower the noise quite a bit). One more thing, are you sure you attached your dinghy motor low enough? I may be mistaken but it seems like it works like a frother right now.

Good idea on the muffler. The motor is a standard shaft, it will benefit greatly from a wing above the prop to stabilize it. Good idea on the tank paint as well, it sure has been beat up by the sun. Enough to dry out the fuel pick up line, that cracked on me while priming…
