I think this video highlights how addiction while it can be to a substance often coexists with codependency. I found this to be true in my own experience. It sounds like the guys you were seeing needed to hit a few CODA meetings too.

Another really good video Anna! I saw this first hand in rehab and even had a couple opportunities but I steered clear 🤣🤣. Even tho it was tempting I knew how awful it could possibly end. I don’t know what they expect tho, a bunch of young people trying to get sober and their brains are completely lack of dopamine, they go for the next best thing!!! Keep up the good work dude 💯

Ugh yeah I “dated” in rehab too, twice. They’re blurred memories now like everything else was at that time. Kudos to you for being open and honest even when it’s not pretty. It can be painful and embarrassing but there’s so much to grow from. Beautiful, I love it!

lol yeah gurl, title couldve been duh. but me too. not really dating as i had no actual feelings for this kid. this was decades ago but im sure hard headedness and hormones still work the same. Edit: You make great points...so great im slipping into a ptsd flashback of some kind. You have really great insight for going through this not too long ago. I had not even processed some of this weird shit i did. not all hook up am i exactly proud of...and the answer to "why" is consistantly trying to deal with trauma in a real twised way. I like your quick cut editing style. I don't know what happened to that first comment. Anyway, I only almost hooked up with one person in rehab. She was a lawyer and I am a journalist, so we had a lot to talk about because I report on a lot of crime. I was supposed to get out on July 4, 2019, but they held me over because "holidays are a trigger." I told them holidays for me are the last thing that drives me to drink. I don't care about holidays at all. I was supposed to get out so I could take photos at our town's fireworks show. Anyway, she cried when I got called out to discharge. I still talk to her here and there and she's still sober from alcohol as far as I know. She did marry the guy she was seeing. I am not that dude. I am not a guy that messes with somebody's girlfriend even thought I really liked her.

Were vulnerable and are looking for any validation. Seen it many times. You wont be the last!

I once got dumped on my birthday, but TBH she was kinda toxic and now i look back on it thinking i got lucky
