I was recently diagnosed with cancer and told I have 6 months to live at best. I will have this played at my funeral. It's so moving and helps me to get over the fear of dying.

I feel like I just got punched in the spleen. I looked this up again because my friend mentioned "I'll Follow You Into the Dark" in passing, and I thought, "Ah, I really liked Erutan's cover of that song," not realizing, since I had had it on iTunes back in the day, that it had been set to a fanvid of Zerith, a ship I've been thinking about nonstop for the past week because I'm playing Remake. God. God. It IS them. Still gorgeous. Thank you.

everytime I hear your singing, I get shivers. Shivers travel down my spine every time I hear you. I hold all of your music on my iPod and I listen to it religiously and I still get shivers. You possess what many singers of today don't; Soul. I know with each of your arrangements, covers and originals, your entire heart goes into them. These haters don't see it because they lack depth and are blind to what you create which is truly magnificent.

This cover got me through some incredibly grim times in school. Every now and then, I look to come back here, to reminisce, and pay my respects. I can't believe it's been over ten years now! This is one of the videos I watch almost everyday (at least once a day). The AMV is just brilliant and fits very well to the song...and your singing...it's just so touching. I never listened to the original and I never will because that would ruin the whole thing for me. It's your version and no other! And you'd better know - I would follow you into the darkest dark just because of that single song. :) Keep on the amazing work.

As someone who is scared witless of death...this song actually makes it seem far more gentle, and far less fearful than I thought. Hopefully...as this song insinuates, there is something more for the human soul, when our body passes into the void.

This is a song everyone should listen... But more specifically this version. Kate, you make this song sound so sincere, so profound, so cute. I'm a big fan of the original song by Death Cab, but this...this took the song to a new level for me. You brought tears to my eyes with this performance. Made me shiver. So much of your stuff has a strong emotional effect of me; I think it's because your talent and passion for what you do are so profound. Please never stop. You really are an amazing singer, and sound editor. All your songs have brilliant harmonies, and many instruments, but this is BY FAR your best cover... An hauntingly amazing song. Also, as a fellow uke player, I'm highly impressed! It's few people can make a uke sound anything but happy, and this ukulele sounds like it's crying... but ah!!! Can't stop listening!! Well done!!!

I am mystified and mesmerized by your voice. The way you sing this song is just so, indescribable by words. I'm as lucky to find your music as to how lucky Steiner got Beatrix by a silly letter.
