FYI, Bang Si-Hyuk (Co-founder and CEO of BigHit) majored in Aesthetics in college. and his nickname Hitman-bang literally given to him because when he was a composer and producer at JYP Ent, he earned the reputation as hitmakers. So it's no wonder BTS songs and MV and any BTS videos are so good and so aesthetics. I hope you will watch BTS performance at MMA 2018 and ESPECIALLY MMA 2019. It will blow your mind. Trust me. They never hold back...their MMA performances are literal art performances

*This was the era I became an army---- I was first confused if they were dancers or singers..but then I thought they are actors? Then i learnt some of them could rap too? My mind was filled with admiration for these seven men eventhough nothing in these concept films went into my head at the time. Within a week, I learnt their names and their backgrounds....I was astonished by the sheer talent*

V is such a good actor... His high notes in stigma are insane.... V's solo songs are really good.... His vocals always makes me happy n at the same time he makes me cry

Begin is actually a very beautiful song that jungkook dedicated to his 6 hyungs(big brothers) and I think u should definitely check out the lyrics plus the live version is just *chef's kiss* the dancing is amazing and the lyrics convey his love to the 6boys😄💜

basicly every member has his sybmol(s). Jimin with apple and water (lie and fear?), Yoongi with piano and fire (music and pain?), Namjoon with mirrors and chains (self-hatred and restrictions?), Jungkook with drawings (loneliness?), Tae and Hobi with a picture of mother and baby (family problems). all these stuff appears in Jin's room : apple on the plate and piano playing (it's not the melody of Jin's solo) 24:12, fire 24:37 and 25:17, mirror with Namjoon's writing 24:46, chains, jk's drawing, mother with a baby and piano 25:40 BUT what caught my attention is the bird picture, that hangs alone in an empty hallway, where Abraxas is painted on the walls. as it appears in a lot of other short films* my guess is that the bird is Jin's own symbol, because Jin stand alone and is connected to everyone at the same time *first time the bird appears in Jungkook's film after the sound of beating wings on a sheet with hurt yoongi's picture that jk dropped before. maybe it's like Jin is hinting jk something about yoongi with his burning portrait and everything. JK's whistle then appears in yoongi's film. Jungkook sends the bird picture to Namjoon, and in The Notes JK and Namjoon are the first who Jin met with, that led to the whole further story. both JK and NJ were the starting point, so the bird must have appeared to both of them, and the rest short films don't have such prominent bird image. but one frame with a bird in namjoon's film (18:05) reminds me of Jimin's arboretum (8:25) just as you noticed too, Hoseok has wings (21:31), Yoongi doesn't have birds, but he's connected to Jin through Jungkook. Tae is connected to Jin in more other ways and plays the role some kind of opposite to Jin, so he is separate in this bird discussion (for ex V destroying Jin's house of cards in Run / Jin shooting Tae's jump off the tower on camera in the Prologue / V scribbling off the "Abraxas" written on the wall in his short film 9:50, etc) also there is so many frames with birds in I Need U, Prologue and Run, even short Young Forever that contains the images of traumas of each boy has birds in it. i understand that birds are aesthetic, but that amount of birds becomes deliberately intrusive Jin's short film intro is also about a bird: The bird fights its way out of the egg. The egg is the world. Who would be born must first destroy a world. The bird flies to God. The God's name is Abraxas internet source: Abraxas stands above the god and above the devil. Abraxas speaketh that hallowed and accursed word, which is life and death at the same time. Abraxas begetteth truth and lying, good and evil, light and darkness in the same word and in the same act. the quotes before the films are all from the book Demian. it also talks about Abraxas, 'Why are only pleasant things attributed to the God if he created the whole universe? Are not both the light and dark sacred?' so if the bird is Jin's symbol and bird should fly to the god of both good and evil, then Jin has to accept both good and bad in him in order to archive what he tries to archive during all BU and then we have his song's lyrics "maybe i can never fly" haha pain that's only my guess!

Lie is a masterpiece wherever you look at it, lyric music interpretation, composed and written by Jimin himself, both to fit the storyline and based on his own personal experience, his live performance is crazy considered a legendary song the best song of the world. album after BS&T, loved to this day and of course it is my favorite song of all time. I hope you can see his live performance and the lyrics.

You noticed so many things! Good Job! 💜 Shout out to Big Hit for giving us the BU, to Lumpens and their team for creating these masterpieces and to BTS for their incredible acting and songs. These films give me the chills every time I watch them. They are one of many things that set BTS apart from other groups. I suggest listening to these songs and of course reading the lyrics. They are very personal to each member. They are not necessarily connected to the storyline, but I think that some aspects can be linked to the characters. You know, in a recent interview, Jin said that he feels like he doesn’t have an emotional voice or powerful vocals. Your reaction says otherwise. When you’ll react to more of his songs you’ll see how powerful his voice is. 💜💜

it may be a bit confusing at first but when ur done with the storyline, everything will make sense. it's just so mindblowing how bighit had come up with this. wings is a standalone middle chapter that makes itself stand apart in many ways. even the styling is different. contrasting from the grounded aesthetic of HYYH and the colorful, zany fun of most of the love yourself series, we got to see BTS decked out in lavish suits and chokers. they seemed to go for a very different aesthetic that time around. wings era opened with seven beautiful short films, accompanied by each of the member's very first solo songs to be put onto a full group album. i think the wings era will forever be their most aesthetically exquisite works of art. BS&T was such a look and what an amazing song/MV. personally, i love the short films as they give a lot of insight to the fan theories and just showcases BigHit and BTS's truly fantastic ideas. i think it will forever be remembered and will be looked up to for kpop artists. but either way, i'm so excited for you!!! this is an experience every army should witness!!!

stigma by V is the best jazz song I have listened in Kpop. And V's High note in this song is forever my fav in Kpop. Despite of baritone singer tae. hit that high note, which clearly shows how talented and wide vocal range he has. And yes tae is great actor. He has recieved many praises from for his acting skills from critics. He also acted in Kpop drama Hwarang

The first image was a mirror with the words "We must survive" was writen and that was RM's 2nd picture, it was a mother and a baby which is why jhope's song is called "Mama" that was jhope's 3rd picture, an apple, jimin was eating an apple in the mv lie. 4th, you're right it was suga's. 5th, which is the bird, was jungkook's and the last one, the door with the scratches was v's. he was scratching something in his mv too. Everything was show in seokjin's shortfilm you just really have to be quick in noticing, try to watch it in second time again. And yes the petals were the members. The lyrics in seokjin's awake was also written by him and with the help of other ppl too. Just imagine how seokjin's character struggles in every timeline. It still an speculation but some other say that seokjin's lyrics in this song was also made to be for what he experiences in real life. Seokjin is one of those members that get the least of fame. He also don't trust his talents that much that's why he keep feeling that he always need to do his best which was not true. Seokjin is a very talented guy just like the rest of themm.

Jimin's song, "Lie" is about how he felt at one point, as if the life he was living was a lie and he was trapped and miserable in it. RM's solo, "Reflection", well, you heard some of the lyrics. He didn't like the person that he saw in the mirror. BTS has never stated what Tae's solo is really about, but it's still heartbreaking. To me, Jin's solo, "Awake", is the most heartbreaking of the 4. Jin felt that he wasn't good enough to be part of the group, that all 6 of them could fly(that means to reach your full potential), so he was considering leaving the group.

Idk if you noticed, but the pairings change with these short films and marks the trasition from HYYH (the most beautiful moment in life) era to WINGS era. In every shortfilm there are several references to their old partners as well as one clue to their new partners (which you can also see from the way the circles in the wings logo changes and merges after each short film). Jungkook Old partner: Suga - the burning piano (2:37) and the painting (4:04). New partner: RM - the picture of a raven (4:31). You can see their circles merge at the end of RM's shortfilm (20:09). Jimin Old partner: J-hope - the same painting (5:54 and 8:24), the pills (6:45), the "eva" circle which is the same as J-hopes (6:42) as well as the hospital. New partner: Suga - the burning piano (7:26). Their circles merge at the end of Suga's shortfilm (16:25). V Old partner: RM - the grafitti scene (9:50), just like in the "Run" MV, the phone booth (11:00) and the broken glass (11:57). New partner: J-hope - The mother picture (10:48). Their circles merge at the end of J-Hope's shortfilm (23:22). Suga Old partner: Jungkook - The car crash (14:52) and the whilstle throughout, which is the melody for JK's begin. New partner: Jimin - The bathtub (15:46). His circle (piano keys) merge with Jimin's circle (apple) at 16:25. RM Old partner: V - The ringing phone and the phone booth (19:30) New partner: Jungkook - The raven picture (17:58). His circle (broken glass) merge with Jungkooks's circle (feathers) at 20:09. J-hope Old partner: Jimin - The picture (22:29) New partner: V - The mother picture (23:02). His circle (eva, symbolizes mother. This is a theme for both J-hope and V. You'll understand more about the meaning of mother to J-hope in the "Highlight reels" later in the storyline) merge with V's circle (cut) at 23:22. As you know Jin has no partner, and he has references to all of the members in the pictures at the end of his shortfilm: Jimin's apple, Suga's piano, Jungkook's raven picture, V's mother picture, RM's mirror writing ("we must survive") and J-hopes scratches on the walls.

There’s a wings film that tends to be missed quite a lot. It’s called Boy Meets Evil and it’s another J-Hope song. It should be watched before Blood, Sweat and Tears. Also the storyline has Japanese versions of some of the songs that you have to watch in a certain order along with the Korean ones to understand the storyline more. Hope this helps.

The book is Demian by Herman hesse! I really suggest it, its just beautiful and when coupled with WINGS it just comes alive in ur mind. I was amazed by the way they adapted and integrated the story of demian into their album and storyline its crazy

When you react to Fake Love - and you probably will at some point - keep the story line in mind. 😉 They continue to chock me with their symbolisms and details in their videos up to this day. If you know the story line you can find small reminders in a lot of their work still. Like the font used on J-Hope's new Blue Side is the one used on the wall in his part of Wings short films. They blow my mind with their artistry! 🤯 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Yes, the WINGS short films are nothing less than masterpieces of modern art. Next stop is Blood, Sweat & Tears. It's not one of my favorite songs, but the artistry in the MV is just top notch. The quotes being narrated by RM are from a Bildungsroman by Hermann Hesse. There's another set of short films after this in which a number of things happen. You'll understand the significance of J-Hope's Snicker's bar, which makes its appearance in the Fake Love MV. One of the most beautiful moments during this era was when RM performed his solo Reflection live; when he sang the outro, "I wish I could love myself," the audience would shout back, "We love you!" Lastly, Jin's solo Awake was the beginning of the end of anyone's right to criticize his vocal skills. It's a gorgeous song and my fave of the bunch.

Hello! I have already seen each individual live performance and loved them all, but I have never seen these! Let alone tie them into the storyline. A lot of people will tell you not to bother listening to the solos from this era and that the lyrics don't have anything to do with the storyline, but, as you saw with Jin's song, the lyrics CAN be related to the story line. However, they mainly relate to the boys own, personal lives. Two of them are upbeat and "happy", the ones by JK and J-Hope, "Begin" and "Hey, Mama". "Begin" is about JK's love for the other members and how much they influenced him. "Hey, Mama" is a tribute from J-Hope to his mother. Suga's song, "First Love" is a song about a piano, his first love, so it's kind of neutral. The other 4 solos break my heart.

The whale is like the BTS/Army mascot. It shows up in the We Are Bulletproof Eternal MV and tinytan zero o clock mv, it’s also link with the Whalien song

Yes you are right ,The basic concept in this storyline its a butterfly effect, and the main character is jin ( epiphany) , he tried and tried to save the 6 members from all unfortunate events ( v killed his father, jk hit by car, jimin drown himself, jhope took the pills, suga burn himself ), but no mater how hard he tried there will be someone hurts by his action, thats why on the mv he is like having a hedgehog day over and over again

You should also watch the wings concert trailer since that also provides a lot of clues for this theme as well. But watch it after blood sweat and tears.

Your theatre and music experience shined through. You were able to get more stuff from first watch than most reactors, maybe even most ARMY. And that is why I love you😉😍💜 The book is Demian by Hermann Hesse. Have not been able to read it yet but really want to. The cheerful melody in Jhope's film cud be interpreted as he is tripping or in a daze due to the medication but in reality that cud probably be the meaning that was given later because Jhope mentioned that the song, Mama, was an emotional tribute to his real mother but he did not want the melody to be sad. Hobi's personality hence shined through; he is full of emotions that are good and bad but never fails to be the happiest person on the outside. Him and Jin I admire so much because of this. Their ability to be happy ignoring their pain and in the end overcoming the pain due to their positivity is just amazing.

RMs telephone booth is symbolic I think because the guy V calls is RM. And it seems like the booth is chained up meaning RM can't answer V's call.

so the road sign in Jimin's film showed the direction to the arboretum, that's an important place to the story. if you listen carefully, there's a sound of a gun shot, also important the room to me seems like a therapy room and interrogation room at the same time, because there's no human involvement, no empathy. the robotic hand kinda looks like it asks questions with cards, that has JK's and Hoseok's wings' circles, but Jimin refuses to answer, shrugs or smiles. the inverted frames also show him covering his mouth. then he eats apple that is a known symbol of sin and lie in religions, and woops the song is indeed called Lie and the water is a symbol of purification and cleanness, that's why he's so attached to it probably and wants to drown himself. but the water is not his trauma cuz he doesn't seem afraid of it? maybe he uses it as an escape or defence mechanism

The Short Films on this album are really of a high artistic level, that's one of the reasons why Wings is my favorite BTS album. Of course, it follows the BTS storyline, but this album is mostly centered on Hermann Hesse's book called Demian and the songs have a lot of classical style. I highlight Lie a lot, that song is really a masterpiece, the lyrics (which Jimin wrote) the production (in which he also participated) and the performance are exceptional. Without a doubt, one of my favorite songs from the entire BTS discography. By the way, before reacting to Blood, sweat & tears, I would recommend you to react to Boy meets evil (one of Hobi's solos).

When circles connect: JK+RM- smoke, JM+SG- tire traks, V+JH- something driping, paint, water, blood. There is a lot in this short films like A LOT. You could watch 100 times and still find something. In the story line young jhope's something happened to him in a circus with a sneakers bar (sneakes you will see it in a future music video). I don't want to spoil it haha. you are on point.

Ahh I don't know if anybody told uh this or not but uh must read the notes of their albums. Those notes literally play a very significant role for their individual characters and for both individual and grp storyline. It connects the dots btw their past life trauma and present tym struggles. Also dates play a key role for tymline and their notes contain every members self characterisations that when and where some things happened in their past lyf. Not lyk it's straight forward but uh need to pick hints and join thm.
