you're so right abt your commentary on cam and how the adults didn't seem to notice any of the warning signs, especially when he LITERALLY FALLS OFF OF THE CATWALK AND BREAKS HIS ARM. he was constantly talking about how sad he was. he never showed any sort of enthusiasm about hockey to his teammates. he literally threw up on purpose to skip out of hockey practice. i don't expect the children to do anything about it but how did no adult realize this? where is the coach of the hockey team???? like there's just so many questions??? he moved away from his home and is miles away from his family, no adult thought to ask how he was dealing with all of that? i feel like it could've been prevented, his story his so tragic. literally one of the saddest degrassi deaths

As a military kid that literally went to a different school every semester since the 3rd grade I knew Campbell was depressed from the minute I saw him. I had to make and leave friends 15 times from the 3rd to the 12th grade. Everyone kept saying "it should be fun you get to travel" and I always said not for a shy, quiet, introverted kid that literally only speaks around my family. Honestly the only thing that saved me was learning lessons from shows like Degrassi that showed me I was not alone in feeling that way. Now as a college student every time somebody asks me about my experience as a military kid I am very open and honest with them about my experience. I always tell people in the military to check on their kids often because we hold a lot of things inside.

Second comment is degrassi would’ve been much better with more black folks in the writers room. The black characters always were not used or in sterotypical ‘black ppl’ situations. MIKE DALLAS performance after Cam died was SO GOOD! They could’ve used him for SO MUCH more (in ref to season 12)

It would be so hilarious to get a show with some of the folks from past Degrassi seasons living their lives in their late 20s to early 30s, and its just a totally normal sitcom with none of the intense drama Degrassi has, with direct references to how impactful/traumatizing their high school years were.

Alli and Dallas forever!!! My personal theme song for them is ships in the night because they keep passing each other by because every time they tried to get together this season something stopped them.

A lot of the live “two parters” on Teennick around this time had summers where they played a new Degrassi episode everyday. So yeah we weren’t waiting over a year to watch 60 episodes 😂

I'm here for Drew's redemption arc😍 Im so glad ur at this point now and you'll get to see how he grows into such a respectable man 😩 some questionable hiccups here and there but ..he really grew. He and Holly-j had like the best character developments.

The one thing that doesn't get mentioned often enough when discussing the Drew/Bianca/Katie storyline is that Drew was literally drunk and straight up didn't remember having sex with Katie the next day. I wouldn't portray Drew as the one in the wrong there, especially since he had already broken up with her prior to the party. I always see people talk about this storyline without mentioning that Drew was drunk and it honestly feels like a double standard that would be mentioned if it were the other way around. But I definitely agree that Drew always loved Bianca and it was unfair to Katie to date her despite knowing his feelings.

I’ll always be disappointed in Marisol’s character. They gave her no personality beside being a bully and Katie’s sidekick. The writers gave her no storylines except for that ridiculous diabetes thing with Mo and it felt like the writers didn’t even take that seriously. She was just there to say a few snarky or funny lines in other people’s storylines and I don’t get why they didn’t treat her like a real character.

I remember when this season was airing on TV. Campbell's storyline was so hard for me to watch. I thought he was mad cute so I immediately got attached. When his family didn't care that he was alone struggling I was so angry. And when he fell from the balcony I knew it wasn't going to end well. I never felt so sad for a character loss in a show before.

So Campbell Saunders would have been Class of 2015. (Class of 2015 doesn't really have a lot of members and their graduation was never shown on screen.) Maya, Tristan, and Zig are all Class of 2016. Clare, Alli, Connor and Jenna are Class of 2014

As far as maya and all them go, I’d say seasons 13 and 14 are definitely gonna be worth the watch later on, you’re definitely in for a good ride.

Jenna and Connor are adorable together and a perfect match, like how could you not love them!!!

I like Jenna but it doesn't sit right with me that she was so close with Becky knowing the awful views she has and not agreeing with them like girl??? A very unsignificant spoiler is they barely interact after s12 lol.

Dallas is definitely worth the watch in later seasons.

I watched season 12 live (I was in 10th grade) and to this day I still remember watching that Cam episode in real time, season 12 is my fave season and the last one I really watched 💔 definitely felt like an end of an era.

Watched seasons 10 through 12 on directv when I was a teenager and yeah waiting for each one part episode per week was a bit stressful back then on teen nick but now I love how I binge the show on Tubi again and it’s better for me to watch now way later in my 23 24 year old life

i watched this show when it was airing, i think 2 episodes came on at a time or were uploaded at a time when i was able to catch it. I watched it when I was 11 or 10 (too young for sure) and Cam's storyline made me cry so hard. Watching it back to this day still hurts but I also remember being angry that they said suicide was selfish and i detested Zig (still do). I love your videos!

Noooooo Amanda Connor and Jenna are my favorite Degrassi couple!! To me, they definitely fit the "odd pairing" or "odd couple" trope but they end up completing each other so well I think... I don't remember which season it was in, cause I have a hard time understanding shows through the lens of seasons, but eventually I feel that Jenna realises that all the hang ups she has about Connor are hang ups she FEELS she should have because everyone else is suspicious of their relationships and actually she really loves Connor the way he is... Idk I found myself relating to Connor often and I was eventually really happy with his relationship with her, I thought it was very cute

As soon as I saw Vanessa Morgan on one episode, it made me realize she is Canadian and so is the show “My Babysitters A Vampire.” That’s when I was so shocked seeing her on one episode or 2 of degrassi as Mike Dallas baby momma. I stan Vanessa Morgan 👑👑👑👑👑

From my memory the way they used to air degrassi on teen nick was having a block of the summer where they would play one episode a night m-f so we got 5 episodes a week in a pretty quick fashion which made me always trying to get home to catch it in time

I watched this show as it aired in the 6th grade. Particularly this season, and I had to watch weekly as Campbell slowly succumbed to his depression. Without even having words for it, I knew something was deeply deeply wrong with him and it hurt so bad to see nobody help him. It was like watching a car crash! Watching this whole season was torture. However, I can say this is definitely my favorite season of Degrassi. The jokes are so funny, I love Mo and Jake and Eli as a group. Aside from Dave there’s not exactly a character that I outright hate. And Owen. The show was great though, because it put words to a lot of the things that I was going through or was seeing my friends going through. I will say, I love Bianca and how far she’s come, and I absolutely adore her relationship with Audra. I don’t really think that it was Audra being nefarious trying to get to drew through her because even before Drew left I saw that they had gotten so close. She was like the first parental figure in Bianca‘s life and, even having one person tell her that she believed in her pushed Bianca to do so much. In my opinion this is the best handled season of Degrassi and I think they even handled Cams death well. The reactions were so realistic imo

After you watch this series I reccomend watching the originals if you hadnt already. This is my first viewing exp of Degrassi and I started with the original 80/90s. Its really good and shows some of the characters as teens that we see in the original TNG seasons , specifically following Simpson the entire time. Its SO good

I agree 100% but not too much on Katie 😢😂. I feel like the Vegas trip was good growth for the both of them. Also, you didn’t bring up when she helped Claire through the whole Asher situation. I feel like she was a really good friend towards her in the end because she didn’t necessarily agree, but to help her friend she was down to do whatever. She also gets cool points for smacking one of the hockey players lol idk I liked Katie’s character towards the end
