So disturbing again RJ defending another sex predator. Then they get C R to jump on board with that after the Lord had showed him 3 women. They turned what he Chris was shown and he then got up on Oct 31 to rip up the whistleblowers and JD. My take on that is they used Chris R voice because they knew he had a following while making him a false prophet. At this point Chris needs to go sit down lick his wounds and read the chapter in his book on The Spirit of the Fear of the Lord. Big growing moment for Chris right now. Used as their circus act!

The three AG videos brought such clarity. Between Dean Briggs as the brave, bold warrior, Allen Hood’s relational shepherding, Elizabeth Herder’s Mark 12:31 faithfulness and devotion, and all the rest of these courageous stewards, I felt myself actually exhale. “The only recourse for sin of powerful leaders and charismatic, independent churches is the public press. We ought to be grieved over this. The fear of the Lord should take hold of us for this. That we cannot…we don’t have enough integrity to do the right thing and overcome basic self-preservation. The prayer folk didn’t overcome it, which means prayer does not just correct organizational dysfunction and corruption. We need a look in the mirror and come to terms as the body of Christ-we’re not doing church right. We need help.” ~Allen Hood

It's so crazy to me that people actually saw Mike playing footsie with other women and no one batted an eye. This is the shadow side to Honor culture and celebrity pastors. Hero-worship is alive and well in church. And it HAS to end. We have to see even our best as human.

community grooming is a real thing and the point of it is that people don't know that it's happening. you begin to second guess your "gut feelings" and knowings gradually over time. because the person is SUCH a good great honest pious kind generous honorable etc etc etc person. In a training on recognizing predators that I watched last summer, one of the common traits the presenter said that predators can possess is being a man teacher coach clergy of the year type of person. as you study these things you will see how even the most intelligent aware discerning people can be groomed to not listen to their own sense of knowing something is wrong or off.

Well done, Blaise. If the scope ever went beyond the “sexual” aspect of abuse to the ethical and moral aspects of malfeasance committed by Bickle and those who ran guard for him, the “group” would swell to a mob. (I refer to things I know of first hand, but are only a shadow of things already revealed). This exposure is well deserved and will not be deterred. It's interesting that they confronted you on "hyper grace" theology, but now they don't want to hold Mike Bickle accountable saying they want to show mercy and restore him. I'd say the "hyper mercy" theology is a lot more harmful than the "hyper grace," and I am not a fan of "hyper grace" either.

My husband and I met the Lord in the midst of the Jesus Movement. We've seen a lot through the years, but nothing has shaken us as much as this...not with our walk with the Lord, but with our trust in ministries and the prophetic movement. Thankfully, we don't put men on a pedestal, so when they fall, we remain strong. Finding out what Mike Bickle has been doing all along has gutted us to the core. We would have defended him forever, never dreaming he would do such a thing. We are now looking at everyone we listen to with different eyes. So very sad. 😭

I never realized how sheltered I have been (by the Lord) over the past 30 years or so until I stumbled on this subject. I think the biggest lesson the church, as in the people, should take away is to learn to recognize such deceit while it's small. Thereby preventing its growth and saving a lot of heartache. As important as spiritual discernment is, a few simple rules and a touch of logic could protect us at our foundations. The first and foremost rule should be: GOD will NEVER contradict HIMSELF. By the way, I despise acronyms. It took me ever so long to figure out why a scandal in restaurants was important to the body of Christ.

Now I read the summary of the report and it is always the same. The abused people and there families are treated often not good. Forgive, give grace was often told. But they want to stop it, and that the abusive person take responsibility for their abuse. Criminal investigation. 100 abused person were part of the team writing the report. They said we were treated so badly from the church but we stood up together over years demanding investigation. They said we have our voice back. We speak… The report was only the beginning.

And it was ALWAYS said “no dates mates or babies” meaning we couldn’t prophesy these things (which I agree is a good rule by the way). But it’s bizarre that while I couldn’t ride in cars with members of the opposite sex or go anywhere on my day off and my group leader was constantly checking on us in the prayer room, the LEADERSHIP is prophesying all these things, playing footsies with girls and actually sexually assaulting them. I can’t wrap my head around how they were so legalistic in our internship but somehow it’s okay for leadership to behave this way

Repentance and belief/trust in Jesus go hand in hand. You can't separate them. You can't repent without belief in Jesus and you can't believe without repenting. They are both the gift of God. Granting repentance unto life is the same thing as granting faith. A gift to be received. Repentance includes turning from evil to faith/obedience to Jesus. Many Christians try to say that the gift of faith and salvation does not include repentance or that repentance is only mental assent and has nothing to do with turning away from evil and dead works and surrendering in obedience to Jesus. But look at these verses. Repenting from evil does not save you but it does happen when one puts their faith in Jesus and is born again. It just results from the new nature. Repentance is a gift that comes with the measure of faith that is given to every person upon their believing in Jesus. Those who do not repent do not truly believe.

Corey (Smart Christian Channel) covered this only last night. True faith is missing from a lot of leaders, so it follows that true repentance is also absent. Many are not born again and therefore dependent on mental ascent and human wisdom - which is earthly, soulish and demonic.

@@flowers1-2-1 I think the "trick" and cause for that is what I call "Christianese" or "Church Talk". You know how people in Church tend to use words, phrases, sentence syntax etc that they never use in their lives outside of Church? Saying Prayers that sound like they are spoken in "King James English", or using a smattering of Hebrew, Latin or Greek in a sermon keeps people off balance and mentally discombobulated. For example why bother to utter something like " Sola Fida" just to tell people it means Faith Alone 10 seconds later? Or "Harpazo" just to tell people it's greek for "caught up"? It is a rhetorical trick designed to make people feel less educated or in over their heads so they stop thinking and just start "absorbing". This also gets people used to hearing archaic sounding words and it places them in a mindframe that "feels" mystical Spiritual and "meaty" but is not actually Biblically sound. In short they stop listening to what is said and instead rely on feeling what is said. Here is a experiment. Go to Church and ask 10 people independently what the point of a sermon was., and see how many times someone says "I feel like it was about X".

I don't come here bearing dreams or visions or a prophetic word, but I do have something to share about the bottom lines in this sad and sordid mess that continues to unfold: Concerning MB....It is not part of God's nature (or attributes) to "defend" wicked and perverted individuals who refuse to humble themselves before the Lord and others that they have sinned against. MB is not the man of God that so many want to believe that he is. He is a coward and continues to hide behind the cloak of IHOPKC instead of doing what a "true" man of God is called to do. Concerning IHOPKC leadership(?).... This organization has crafted various posturing's and/or maneuvers but it all amounts to smoke and mirrors...simply a facade, waiting for the fury and clamor to die out so they can resume "business as usual" with only a few minor adjustments and no more public accountability then is absolutely necessary. Concerning the Advocates....Many of us in the body of Christ appreciate the courageous stand you have taken in support of these women who were without a doubt spiritually abused and manipulated by MB (and others (?), in the manner of "thus saith the Lord") and need voices such as yours to stand with them as they share their experiences in a very public forum. Having said that, whenever I hear someone speak about another man as their "spiritual father", that title or phrase always points to one word..."Idolatry". If we are all open and honest about that word, then we are "all" guilty of that somewhere in our lives and it must be dealt with for what it is. It is not just an ugly word....it is SIN. Whether that idolatry is in the form of our spouse or children, spiritual leaders/shepherds (?), worship music (?) money, comfort or security, our jobs, hobbies, TV, sports, religion, etc....anything that we set on a pedestal can and will lead us all into idolatry. It's a very subtle type of sin that very quietly creeps into our lives, so as to go unnoticed. Concerning the Survivors.... The hearts and prayers of many in the body of Christ are with you. We care about you; support you and we truly believe you when you share your horrible experiences involving the failures/SIN of MB and IHOPKC leadership (?). No one deserves to live these types of experiences, but scriptures assure us of trials and tribulations in this fallen world. That doesn't change the love Christ and our heavenly Father has for us. He doesn't always prevent these things from happening to His loved ones, but He is always there to walk through it with us. Concerning All Involved....Idolatry is alive and well. MB's idolatry was unto himself and his own agenda (24/7 prayer). Leaderships idolatry was towards MB and 24/7 prayer mandate. Survivors' idolatry was also towards MB, 24/7 prayer mandate, as well as having a strong desire to be accepted by those in authority and wanting to be one of the "true one's" inside the inner circle. As I stated earlier, idolatry is a very subtle type of sin, not an "in your face" type of sin. However, if there had been true discernment exercised by "all" concerned....and there is a heavy emphasis towards the leadership's ability to discern and act appropriately...this situation very well could have been adverted decades ago. For All of Us....Examine ourselves against scripture, humble ourselves before our God and repent (and turn away from) of the idolatry that we have allowed to creep into our lives and pray for His mercy.

Brother, I agree. Smoke & mirrors at work in the leadership. Persecution actually saved the early church after Herod killed James. They were scattered but in due time Jerusalem was going to be destroyed and the gospel needed to be preached in other places. They should be open to vacating KC in repentance and let the Lord lead them to other places.

I haven't heard anyone mention something that Mike mentioned in his last sermon. Remember he spoke about a phone call with Loren Cunningham on his death bed and Mike said the Lord spoke to Loren, as Loren wanted to pass his mission onto someone, and said, "I trust Mike." That statement impacted me and I found myself agreeing and thought it was amazing that the Lord would say that. Little did I know that that statement was more than likely said to manipulate everyone into thinking that God trusted Mike. No-one can even check to see if that conversation really happened. Unbelievable!

I watched General Fuller's statement prior to seeing The Advocacy Group videos. I didn't really get why there was so much push back to Fuller's statement. However, listening to you today really opened my eyes to the absolute need for a neutral 3rd party here. I have so much respect for Allen Hood's position on this. I'm going to be very careful from this point on as to who I listen to. In fact, I don't think it's wise for me to follow this unfolding tragedy too closely. I have nothing in this except compassion for those hurt by this (I've been through something similar but not on such a grand scale), and some anger for those who tried to cover everything up after they knew the truth. It's past time for some brutal honesty here, and I think it's best sorted out by an entity that has not been under the leadership of Mike Bickle.

Looks like Brown is stepping up. Called out Fuller. . . And is promising to put pressure on getting a suitable 3rd party chosen by AG and coordinate urging from many other global leaders for ihop just to accept it without input or pushback and open up the books before they have to publicly decry the ministry. Hope he’s serious. Would like to see his redemption arc too! But we must hold this kind of stuff accountable too. . . I why do I get my hopes up for this stuff. . 😩

On one hand, it would seem they have everything to lose by coming forward. But the truth is they have everything to gain by coming forward. Otherwise, they can never heal from the trauma and it’s God’s desire that they heal so they can be whole and live free from all the burden and shame.

I will say one thing about the chokehold picture. Where I’m from, this would be a normal silly thing to do… It doesn’t mean it’s right and it doesn’t mean it’s appropriate, but I do know a lot of guy friends who like to joke like that or who would do something like that… Especially posing for a picture. My own husband jokes like that from time to time, and I do too with him. There is no aggression within this type of joking. When we do it and from childhood, I have never thought of it that way. When I saw this picture the first time, I did think, that was what was happening here. And even though it seems that Mike has a long-standing history of abuse and inappropriate behavior… I have personally witnessed him joking like this with other people, including men, and everyone was having fun and laughing, and there was no perceived aggression behind it. So I think this is one of those particular things where people might be trying tosqueeze milk out of a dry utter.

Multiple women say that he did this to them. It's so odd. I'm 41 years old and have been in ministry and business off and on for 20 years. I have never seen a leader do this to a woman in a joking manner or otherwise. It is so odd.

Not sure if you heard the episode of the girl who was brand new at IHOPKC and walking down the hall- Mike grabbed her by the neck and pushed her up against the wall and said: "I like you." Then laughed and walked away. She was very scarred and confused as a new student. This is his norm and at best it's greatly unwise and at worst it's grooming and boundary pushing....

it is completely inappropriate behavior for a minister or person in a place of power to use. a narcissist would say: i was just joking. oh you're being too sensitive! can't you take a joke etc etc. it is ONLY a joke if all parties are comfortable with it AND if it is appropriate AND if the people who think it is OK have not been groomed to think it is OK. "hazing" and racist comments used to be OK and "just a joke" etc too. But it didn't make them right. And changes were made eventually because those things were wrong. If a person says: i didn't like it, it made me uncomfortable, it scared or intimidated me etc then it is not a joke and not funny. But back to my first point, it is NEVER appropriate for a man in ministry in a position of great authority and power to do this to young women. Especially ones that are new and very vulnerable. It is also a technique of "rough grooming" done in front of others to "normalize" behavior that is not healthy. Everyone laughs it off and the victim starts to doubt their own feelings of sensing it is wrong OR their feelings of feeling fear or uncomfortable etc It sets that person up for possible later abuse. It is a systemic thing and it becomes: Oh, that's just Mike. YOU know how he is, lol.

Did the women sin too. Yes, absolutely. Even though they were deceived and lied too; they still sinned. But Mile was the preacher. He held the spiritual leadership position. He was in the position of authority and trust over these young women. He was also much older, and a person in a position of authority and trust. He is the one who is held responsible, he abused his authority and used his position of trust to take advantage of young women. I think he is guilty. Before the law of the land? I don't know. Maybe. Whether or not the women want him punished is beside the point, and even though they sinned too is beside the point. Mile still deserves punishment. They didn't sin to near the magnitude of mile . But yes they still sinned and must repent before God. They were deceived and used by Mile. Sinned against in a horrible way. Numerous women over a period of years. That is just evil, no matter what the law says. God's standards remain no matter how many men break them. Mile knew better, and yet led women into sin against God. Mile was supposed to be leading people to trust and obey Jesus and repent of their sins. And instead he made shipwreck of people's faith and was leading them to fail spiritually and jeopardizing the eternal welfare of the people he was responsible for. People looked up to and followed him all around the world. He was in a position of spiritual influence, money and power. That spiritual sin even far surpasses the physical sin and lies; as egregious and deserving punishment as they are. He was a "spiritual shepherd" but made sin/ sexual immorality/ unfaithfulness to God/ deception/ lies and depravity out be trivial and love of the world, money and greed and delicious living to be sought after instead. 2 Peter 2 16 but was rebuked for his own transgression; a speechless donkey spoke with human voice and restrained the prophet's madness. 17 These are waterless springs and mists driven by a storm. For them the gloom of utter darkness has been reserved. 18 For, speaking loud boasts of folly, they entice by sensual passions of the flesh those who are barely escaping from those who live in error. 12 These are hidden reefs[a] at your love feasts, as they feast with you without fear, shepherds feeding themselves; waterless clouds, swept along by winds; fruitless trees in late autumn, twice dead, uprooted; 13 wild waves of the sea, casting up the foam of their own shame; wandering stars, for whom the gloom of utter darkness has been reserved forever. Jude 14 It was also about these that Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied, saying, “Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of his holy ones, 15 to execute judgment on all and to convict all the ungodly of all their deeds of ungodliness that they have committed in such an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things that ungodly sinners have spoken against him
