In this video we take a look at the TikTok page NorthKoreanLife, a page that posts North Korean propaganda. For years North Korea has used propaganda to control the masses in their own country but recently, they have been expanding their reach by using social media like TikTok and KZfaq to push their propaganda about North Korea to the rest of the world. After having multiple videos like this come up on my own TikTok, I thought it was time to strap in and explore just what is going on Inside North Korea's Bizzare TikTok Page.

the most common reason places have wide roads is to prevent insurrection/rebellion. with tight, narrow roads, it is easy to barricade them and prevent the movement of both vehicles and people. wider roads also make protests and mobs appear smaller, by allowing them to spread out, and when they appear smaller, it takes more people to have an effective protest. the united states has some of the widest roads in the world, by the way.

I believe that the man at 5:28 is not a regular man, but a secret police agent. You see, North Korea does not allow dissent and opposition (something which most already know), so in order to catch them, they employ agents to pose around the country and maintain position, and to report dissent if any occurs nearby, such as criticism of the regime or an act of political defiance. From my observations, I can conclude that he's most likely one of those secret police agents I mentioned above. Look at his posture, the fact that he stands there for so long without moving, how he looks as if he is waiting, and how he is watching the farmer do the work. Judging by what I read from these comments, it's most likely that the farmer is not acting on his own and is being ordered by the agent to act like that, and if he defies, the agent can report it.

It's part of "Nanta": a non-speaking physical performance about chefs that involves a lot of tricks like using knives to cut vegetables and plates thrown to other performers. I actually saw one performance live when I went to South Korea with my family and can a test to the level of skill that's needed for it and how cool it looks, they even had one guy on another guys shoulders catching plates and they had some beautiful throws. This youtuber "Cruise Daily" I think his name is, he made a video about North Korea's only cruise ship, and when it wasn't giving some of the worst cruising experiences ever (only rivaled by Scientology's Cruise Ship) it would dock in Japan and kidnap their local citizens. The reason they did this was that no one in North Korea could speak Japanese well, and N Korea wanted to spy on Japan, so these civilians were kidnaped to teach spies Japanese essentially. There were over 900 reported kidnappings, North Korea only admitted to 13 or so

And people do starve in NK to this day Meanwhile SK is more like the USA in terms of per capita GDP. Imagine the US having to take in a poor, starving African country as its 51st state. The thing about North Korea propaganda is that it just isn't very good or sophisticated. I've heard Sinologists say the same thing about Chinese propaganda for the west - it seems hyperfixated on local issues and Chinese foreign policy talking points that to Western audiences often feel bland or more like government press releases. This is what Russia has done so well for so long - even during the USSR, there was a real focus on producing propaganda that appealed to specific groups in the West, often along ideological lines. The point was partially to present Russia in a good light, but mostly to create disruption and division - that's the strategy that they find most most effective for their aims. But North Korea? I do think it's remarkable that so little effort is being made. Who is this content really for? Who are they trying to impress?

To be honest I am shocked that North Koreans are even allowed on TikTok at all.
@yellowwinner1
@yellowwinner1 Жыл бұрын
While technically TikTok isn't banned in North Korea, there is approx 26 million people living there and less then a few thousand are estimated to have ever been online, while the vast majority of the population doesn't even know it exists. The only people allowed online are students (Who have very limited access and can only go onto government sites) and the government themselves so to say the least you'd never find an actual normal North Korean online.
