EPISODE 10
The Central Asia motorcycle trip in Tajikistan continues. After leaving Dushanbe we soon are on the M41 better known as the Pamir Highway which is part of the Silk Road. Right away the scenic mountains greet us and soon we are riding next to the wild river along the border with Afghanistan. At Rushan we turn intro the Bartang Valley without knowing for sure if it is passable all the way. A 300km shortcut through the dense Pamir mountains to the other side of the Pamir highway. This turns out to be one of the best decisions of my life. This put the adventure ride into this long distance motorcycle trip around the world. So many new experiences like riding on rocks, crossing rivers, dealing with high altitude, fatigue en waning engine performance at times. I had a feeling back then that this experience would set the bar for the rest of the journey. Little did I know how high! This is what I set out for on this long trip on motorcycle.
Enjoy this short motorcycle trip documentary in Tajikistan. Put together with the video bits that I recorded back in 2014.

My name is Pedro Mota and back in 2014 I left the Netherlands on a beautiful Honda Transalp dual sport motorbike on a trip to the east end of Russia in Vladivostok. On the way there we would take a big detour through the Middle East, Central Asia and Mongolia. Little did I know back then that this would evolve into a years long motorcycle travel further taking me through Japan, Australia, New Zealand and the American continent.
