Or beauty on all sizes means short/tall cuz you can't change that
@francisforever1312
@francisforever1312 3 жыл бұрын
@@nthgth not exactly. Yes, you can change your weight, but it's a huge challenge, especially because if you have been overweight for awhile, if you start to cut down on your food/fat intake, your body feels like your starving yourself, and starts storing fat, this is part of metabolic syndrome. Some people never can get rid of there round body shape, without surgery, because their bodies have just been stretched that way, what matters is that they are actually making healthy choices, I think the reason being overweight is a part of body positivity is because just because people look fat, we automatically assume they are unhealthy (and also is for some reason seen as unattractive) ._.
@nthgth
@nthgth 3 жыл бұрын
@@francisforever1312 First of all, what's "seen as" unattractive is all that counts since attractiveness is by definition based on how one's seen. So if something's seen as unattractive, it _is_ unattractive, by definition. More importantly, "just because people are/look fat we assume they're unhealthy"... So what though? Be cool, be yourself. To hell with what others assume. People make all kinds of dickish assumptions about everyone all the time. It's part of "body positivity" because there's money and potential woke points in it. The other stuff I agree with.
@francisforever1312
@francisforever1312 3 жыл бұрын
@@nthgth I do agree that they shouldn't care if people assume they're unhealthy, it's just that people continuously bug and make fun of them for it, and it makes them highly insecure, I believe especially in teens, making them emotionally unhealthy, so yes, they shouldn't care, it's just very hard not to. Also, it may just only matter if it's the majority, but I find lots of plus sized people to be attractive :). Thank you for agreeing with me on the other stuff though.

Joint issues, diabetes, heart disease, strokes, so on and so forth, and this will all fall onto our healthcare systems. But you can't find excuses to make yourself feel better because you don't have the willpower to do any changes...like hey, everyone no matter the size has some things to work on, not necessarily weight related...the important is to have the self love and conciousness to start doing some small changes to better yourself!

Shit I started putting on some weight so I switched to the Keto diet and started exercising (not as much as I should) and have dropped nearly 30 pounds. There's nothing wrong with wanting to be healthy, you look better and you feel better. Now if you excuse me I'm going to eat broccoli and cry.

had a mate who was on the chubby side perhaps even mildy obese. this was 2 years ago, one day he decided to fix that, he started excersizing on the regular and cutting down on food. I kept talking to him but hadn't seen him in a year. hell I almost forgot what he looked like so I asked him to send us a photo. and HOLY SHIT I was stunned. The man had quite litterally gone from 5'6 to 5'11 (he was 15 when I had last seen him) and he looked far healthier then I had last seen him. on top of all that he said he felt a ton better. and yet, there are people out there that demonize others for bettering themselves. fat acceptance movements are not just selfish and huge pricks, but they potentially damage peoples lives and ruin things for others.

I will never understand how people feel good while still being fat. I used to be pretty obese until very recently. At 6"1' tall (about 185 cm) I weighed about 270 pounds.(about 123 kilos). I was nearly pre diabetic at 18 years of age, and my relationship with my girlfriend was terrible owing to my extremely difficult health and lousy attitude. Lost a lot of that in about 9 months lifting weights and bicycling, gave up smoking and sugary drinks, dripped down to about 165 pounds(75 kilos) and my life has literally never been better. Everything works better, I sleep better, my grades at uni are much better, my relationship has gotten so much better, and I don't feel paranoid all the time thinking about my gf leaving me for someone else. Lifting weights is practically a hobby at this point, I don't even have any goals regarding the gym. For the first time in my life I actually get noticed by girls and not just be dismissed as the 'funny fat guy' at parties. Honestly, if I knew life got so much better I would have done it much before.

You got any tips on how to start off? I'm 15 and weigh probably 120-125kg (about 271 pounds). Mind you I am 6 foot 6 inches so mainly just need to know how overweight I am and what I can do to change that.

@@thebluedragon493 Yeah sure mate happy to help. First of all you need to figure out how many calories you need in a day. Just look up your Total Daily Energy Expenditure on any tdee calculator online. I'd recommend sticking to having about 2000 kcals a day and picking up any sport that you enjoy. i personally play a lot of soccer, basketball and cricket, but you can play whatever you enjoy. Also, start lifting weights, it'll help you with gaining some muscle. You are still growing, it'll do you a ton of good. Best of luck :)

As a quadriplegic, since the age of 15, it pisses me off to no extent, to hear people who think being fat is a disability. Plus they use dumb ass words like ableism and differently abled. Grrrr… put down the pizza and move. Problem solved. I’d kill to be able to cure SCI by making a change in diet and physical activity! These self proclaimed BBW would be wise to stop the self abuse.
