Amazon lily is such a good arc because it shows how dependant on his crew Luffy had become to the point where he can barely function without them. Without Sanji and Chopper he almost died by eating dangerous mushrooms, Without Franky he built a raft that was unable to float, without Nami he has no idea how to get back to Saboady, without Zoro and Usopp to control him he is just picking his first idea and running with it without caring about the potential dangers, and without someone like Robin to give him a general understanding of the place the first thing he did was get into a fight with the entire island. Without his friends Luffy is lost and this arc clearly shows that

@@HaohmaruHL It's not as if people don't understand how names work. They know Luffy's name is Luffy and not Monkey. They know Robin's name isn't Nico and Law's isn't Trafalgar. For some reason Hancock is just the one that no one can get.

I find it both cool AND funny that Jimbei is namedropped as soon as the concept of the warlords is introced back in the East Blue,but he's the last (fish)man that needs to be properly introduced still. It really builds your anticipation for what kind of pirate you're gonna see. Let's not forget that Yosaku said he set Arlong free in order to gain that position!

Boa is one of my fave characters and my fave Warlord. And no im not a simp.... She's so badass as one of the 7 warlords. I really have a thing for characters who don't really appear too menacing but actually are. I love her fighting style, its so clean and elegant. I love the amazonian warrior reference and I love her as a character..

The Warlords are based of the Seven Deadly Sins: * Lust - Boa Hancock - For obvious reasons. My favourite One Piece Waifu 😍😍😍. * Greed - Crocodile (Now Blackbeard) - They are both ambitious, and they never show charity. * Sloth - Mihawk - Doesn't show much effort into anything, and has a inactive personality. * Gluttony - Donquixote Doflamingo - He is self-indulging, and takes pleasure in his sick games. * Envy - Geko Moria - He is quick to belittle others for their values, and he gets resentful when things aren't going his way. * Wrath - Bartholomew Kuma - He analysis and makes verbal but factual statements, and he makes his emotions clear through his actions despite having a emotionless expression. Reminds me of King Bradley from FMAB. * Pride - Jinbie - Fishmen are known to a proud race. I won't say anymore on that.

first time i saw the scene when luffy presented his balls i thought about the dave chappelle bit where he talks about "I'M GETTIN' BOTOX DONE ON MA BALLS! Don't worry about Luffy getting "manhandled" in the last video. Oda has been asked if "it" stretches, and he confirmed that it does. In fact, any question ever asked about whether or not a person's devil fruit effects their junk has been met with a yes from Oda.

i think your theory on why kuma sent luffy to that island makes sense but not for the same reason (kinda) *spoilers for later in that arc* boa reveals to luffy later in this arc about her past with the celestial dragons, im assuming kuma took note of that and sent luffy there since he punched a celestial dragon, so technically he did send him there for their hatred of the government but it’s a level deeper than that
