The best part of this episode is CJ calling Adam out for doubling-down & digging his feet in on his bad takes. The dichotomy between Adam's reactions when his best friend Steve Dangle calls him out and when CJ (A reporter whose opinion he transparently respects much more) calls him out, is simultaneously fascinating and entertaining.

I don't expect people to know other teams prospects but Hawks have more than just Bedard to be excited for but they have to develop and that takes time, also they will have 2-3 more drafts of solid picks before they are a competitive team, so far this rebuild has been going pretty well imo.

I don't know what's different, maybe it's that he's on what looks like a TV set instead of on a laptop like on his own show, but CJ is great here. Animated, passionate, highly entertaining, knowledgeable. Should have him on more often, or have his podcast filmed here too.

I do not understand why anyone in hockey thought EK65 was worth trading for. Yes he had 100+ points and won the Norris (but like I think we can all a agree that was a token win for getting 100+ points) but he was deployed as a 4th scoring forward not a top 4 Dman. Sharks just told him to forget about Defense and just get points so he had value. With the term and cap hit (yes you lower it with double retention but that costs you more assets and Pens need assets) I never thought he should be traded, San Jose should’ve had to suffer through the contract they gave him.

If we're being real about Ottawa, the season starts and ends with goaltending. With a gsax of 0 instead of the -30 that they are currently at their goal differential is +13 and they are probably in the mix for a play-off spot. You could blame the team defense earlier in the year but since Martin took over it has generally been much better, certainly not really any worse than league average. I think they need to deal one of their big 3 left side D (which probably means Chychrun given contract status) and they definitely need to do something to address their goaltending, but I don't think they are nearly as bad as their record suggests.
