Batteries lasting twice as long as the sun reminds me of Nintendo's bluetooth keyboard for some Pokemon typing game on the DS. I've had this keyboard since June of last year. It's been on practically 12+ hours a day every day since I got it. I've been using the same batteries that came with it, and it hasn't run out of juice yet. I don't know if it's that the device consumes very little power or if the batteries are just supernatural entities harnessing power from beyond the veil, but this thing's power really HAS lasted twice as long as the sun. I've never heard of something using conventional AA batteries that hasn't needed a battery replacement in an entire year. Hell, even chargeable batteries need charging every two weeks!

Yes, I'm one of those odd Canadian folk who have an actual name for a knitted wool winter cap with a pompom, so we don't need to take take half an hour to describe it as "knitted wool winter cap with a pompom". When this video was new, I went and contributed $120 to the kickstarter for the iControlPad 2, and never received my iControlPad or iControlPad 2. Don't trust those people.

That controller/case is awesome, I've never seen one of those before.

You'd think Bosch would pay more attention to their packaging. I'd give them a pass if it came in a completely binnable cardboard box, but they started this with a cheap wooden box. They clearly intend the box to fit in with your cabinet, or wherever it is the classy folk keep their booze, as a bit of a display piece. They should have stained and varnished the box to a darker colour, and put a more ornate, brassy looking latch on it. The inside of the box should have had some kind of richly coloured felt covering, instead of cheap cardboard that ends up in the bin, rendering the box nothing more than a jumbled container.

The "weird star" bits you reffer to are Torx bits, they are pretty much poised to replace Hex/Allen bits seeing as they are more durable than your standard hexagonal socket pieces...

I have the standard version of this. This has been a life saver when my cheap corkscrew broke. It comes in a metal tin and has foam to fit everything in rather than card. The corkscrew is black and looks way better.

I bought an Xperia Play when they were new. The service for the phone has since been long gone and I upgraded phones, but I STILL carry my Xperia Play with me everywhere I go, since it is the best emulator for EVERYTHING. I even play PSP games on mine without fault. As a hardcore gamer, best investment I ever made.

Fair warning on those little screwdrivers, don't bog them down too much, the little direction selector switch in mine was setup to handle the full motor load. A few decent sized screws later and the switch was burned out. :/

Well, at least the IXO Vino has more than one purpose. If it's your thing, it seems like a good tool (although why using one during skydiving or wake boarding is fascinating is anybody's guess). Also, after seeing the Open Pandora review, I'm more inclined to buy their products because they look awesome.

I have this IXO and i'm actually surprised how good it is. What's funny is that vino version was actually cheaper than the normal version, at least where i bought it. And there is no difference between them except for the normal one being sold in a ugly metal box and it doesn't have that wine opening attachment.

Metrokane made electric wine corkscrews as far back as at least 2009 (based on comments on Amazon), perhaps they existed even longer than that. This means these would have been available at the time this video was uploaded. So, yes, there were electric corkscrews at the time that the IXO Vino was made... not that I would go buy a drill attachment to remove a wine cork. The Metrokane electric corkscrews are a lot more elegant.
