I thought Manhatton was the least boring. Atleast the characters had aspirations and personality traits.

I agree as it was the film was intentionally made to be more cheesy and tongue in cheek. It's not a great movie by any means, but it's still decent enough camp fun.

But the character is completely different in part 6 from how they set it up in the last films. He might as well be a different character

His change in character doesn't necessarily matter to this particular plot, as the sheriff's perception of this crazy person who believes in the ghost story of Jason Voorhees is running around and possibly killing people to justify his psychosis. A perception built on the fact that part 5 is relevant to this story, because it immediately begins with Tommy escaping from another mental institution.

Tommy is the only consistent protagonist in these films!

Yeah, he kind of dropped the ball early on with this one. I mean wasn't Jason's mother being the killer in the original actually pretty refreshing? Of course there were no kids at that camp she wasn't interested in killing kids and would have waited until a time when there were just counselors to start her killing spree.

Scott Sandler Yes, the drowning scene was in the first film, but Chris said in the video that Jason was the one killing people.

He said it was "basically just a slasher with Jason KILLING people." So he was wrong and obviously hasn't seen it in a while. It DID take itself more seriously, so I guess if that's the overall point, it was taken. But I'm not even really sure it took itself seriously. It was still mostly done for fun. It just wasn't "jokey."

Not convinced he has seen the series. The Friday the 13th series is better than the Halloween series. There was also Halloween 3 where Michael Myers was not in the movie, so it is absurd to argue about Jason not being in the original. Nor is there any Friday the 13th movie that is anywhere near as bad as Halloween 3. He also makes fun of the paintball scene, but here is some fun facts for you, the original script had hunters, and one of them had an Uzi, which Jason takes. Yes that is correct, Jason was supposed to use an Uzi in this movie, but they decided to change it to paintball players.

I think these movies are good. Especially Part VI and I think his criticism on these are just nick picks. Like Tommy and Megan getting together. How is that bad ? I really think both of them are a good duo. The sheriff thinks Tommy is doing it because he believes Jason is dead. He doesn't know much about Jason. Just Jason killed camp counselors and Tommy's family. He doesn't know he is immortal. He thinks Tommy is crazy due to him at what people in Part V called it "The Looney Bin" s he thinks Tommy is shocked and hurt still. So how is he an idiot ? You can tell he isn't underwater by his eyes. It was so close to his fucking face to see his eye open. It's just nick picks. I can understand if you just don't like Friday The 13th.
