Three men stand trial for the death of Ahmaud Arbery, an unarmed black man, in Georgia.
RELATED: Trial for Ahmaud Arbery death continues in Georgia • Trial for Ahmaud Arber...
Jurors in the murder trial of the three Georgia men charged in Ahmaud Arbery's killing listened to hours of closing arguments Monday as four attorneys presented various views of what happened on that day early last year.
The prosecution said Arbery was "under attack" by white men who saw a Black man running in their small coastal neighborhood and hopped in pickup trucks to pursue him.
Defense attorneys for two of the men painted a picture of residents on edge about crime in the neighborhood and said the men were trying to detain Arbery for police. An attorney for the third said his client was a witness who merely documented the killing.

I come to you most high and ask that you put the most positive energy over this jury to look at the evidence and fid the unjustice that was done to Mr.Arbery and come to a conclusion on the punishment on these 3 men who took justice in their own hands and took this man from his mother. I ask that due diligence will come to pass. Thank you AMEN

I can't see where the confusion comes in, a man passes a house under construction, he stops and observes the structure by video evidence he walks in an unsecured property looks around then leaves like he has been seen doing on several occasions along with others who also by video evidence did nothing more than look inside the property. Two other men follow the man without the knowledge of what he has done or where he's coming from they chase him and threaten him they finally approach the man with arms in hand and the guy starts to do the only thing he can do and that's fight for his life because it's flight or fight and the obviously eliminated his option to run so as any human being would do and that's self preservation and since the guy didn't obey them and he didn't fear there threat's they killed him and they knew that a black man is always guilty untill proven innocent they boldly came up with a cliche excuse that the victim was a threat and they feared for their lives. Not thinking that this young man has done nothing thanks for the video evidence.......guilty AF!!!!

When you listen to the judge’s instructions to the jury, until 2:25 roughly, it looked like a jury could acquit these guys because of Georgia’s citizen arrest law (which has been repealed since this incident and was probably repealed because of it, thank you Ms Cooper). But applying this law it sounds legit in the sense that they know he’s trespassed before, a misdemeanor, so they are allowed to approach him and detain him until the police come. Imo, they didn’t have immediate knowledge of a felonies because they were told he never takes anything and he’s not carrying a big bag of stuff, but the misdemeanor trespassing means they can do a citizens arrest and not get in trouble for whatever happens during arrest. However, around 2:26 the judge says you have to use REASONABLE means to arrest and you have to do that so you can turn the person over to the police. The McMichaels didn’t even call the police and Travis says he didn’t know the police weren’t called but I think he’s lying because he’s sitting right next to his dad so he would hear a 911 call. Next, the judge says you can’t use excessive force to make the arrest. I think this is the second point where legally they can be found guilty even with this crappy citizens arrest law in place. It just scares me because it shows me how close they were for walking on these charges.

He did have a car. In a prelim hearing, the defense were trying to enter into evidence a body cam of Ahmaud being question by police cause he was sitting in his gold Toyota Camry in a field, rapping in his car. The judge ruled it was inadmissible. It was later stated in the trial his car was often left at his home and broken down cause the battery died a lot. Dude seemed like he loved to run/jog. RIP Ahmaud

@@timeforchange3786 Not all runners have the same habits, if his nails bothered him he would have cut them. Some people run barefoot, so what? It's his business how he chooses to run or how often. The fact is those who murdered him claimed that he was running and when he left his residence, we were told, it was to go for a run. Laura Hogue is a disgrace to her profession, especially as William Bryan said he ran Mr Arbery into a ditch. For all she knows, this might have been the reason for the dirty toenails and legs that she also mentioned.

A private person may arrest an offender if the offense is committed in his presence or within his immediate knowledge. If the offense is a felony and the offender is escaping or attempting to escape, a private person may arrest him upon reasonable and probable grounds of suspicion. If the person saw first hand knowledge of a felony, then there is no grounds to detain the individual on ground of suspicion. Therefore the second part of the statue has to be separate from the first. They have reason belief detain due to prior situations involving Aubrey being in neighborhood trespassing within time frame at least 6 property crimes were committed.
