Getting banned TWICE for saying "cracker" *as a white woman* is NUUUUUTS
@demi88902 ай бұрын
Do people actually find that nuts? I always figured that you should ban/have to cut out any offensive words from streams no matter who said them - like there's nothing wrong with a black person saying the n-word but if for instance they're just saying the word over and over to a young audience who might repeat what they've heard, perhaps even white fans repeating it to black kids they see at school or whatever, then I'd rather they just not hear the offensive words at all, right?
@TheCalmPsycho2 ай бұрын
@@demi8890 "Offensive words should be banned no matter who said them." "Black people can say the n-word." What? I mean, I disagree with censorship regardless, I feel like people should be capable of handling words. And if children are watching things they shouldn't be watching, unsupervised, and without parental guidance, that is hardly the child's fault, nor the fault of anyone but the parents. Remember, kids don't just watch videos/streams, they potentially have access to the entire internet. You can't possibly tape pillows to every corner in the entirety of history of existence of ever. Parents should raise kids, not legislation, not teachers, not mega corporations. Now we rely on and expect random strangers to raise thousands upon thousands of invisible children that are getting neglected by their parents? That is nonsensical to the point of ludicrosity.

In summary. An Alcoholic is an Alcoholic. JustaMinx is a surprise/shock/enigma to people who don't have a real-world comparison. Anyone who knows a real alcoholic recognizes every single minute of this video. alcoholics aren't ridiculous violent explosions of catastrophic collapse. They're _constant, consistent_ self detruction. Minx seems like a nice person, has the potential for success and friendship, but every time she can chooses to drink herself to physical, emotional, social and psychological harm instead. That's what they do. And you can't help.

I was warned by both my doctor and apothecary to be very careful with it, so I took them only when I was literally squirming in pain. I must have had only around 7 pills in total over the span of a few weeks, but I had to throw them out right after I got only slightly better, because I caught myself craving for more. Steamers find a funny irish person, egg them on, know beforehand that they have some issues, continue to invite them to parties, encourage them to drink, and then get mad while dogpiling the victim publicly after they were called out for their predatory behavior. I've said dozens of times that streamers aren't your friends, especially ones who hang around the "Schlatt" friend group. I'd know, I had a mutual friend who literally was IN their SMP (with Carson) and invited me to play games with them in private, and sometimes on their own personal stream with other big names. On camera they're a bunch of great people, behind the scenes in VC they're not really nice. You hear about all this "dirty laundry" whenever one of them gets booted from the group. The booted person will bring up some shit they did, and then the ENTIRE group will claim they "wanted to be private" and then demolish them with hate, and thousands of foaming at the mouth stans. Look at what happened to Twomad, everyone loved the guy, one "false accusation" and they're all burning him down. Jameski even went public on twitter lying about getting permission from a police investigation, and then claimed a bunch of real guns as proof that Twomad was an abuser. Then it came out that 90% of those guns were airsoft, and the "victim" made multiple statements the entire interaction was consensual. That entire group of 15-20 people are legitimate sociopaths. I've known this for years, and everytime I bring it up people get so pissy because I'm right. Literally used to be a twitch mod for one of these people, and spoke to all them of personally. They're not normal, but I'm just a hater who's "never interacted with them."

Seeing her happy to go to twitch con is actually really nice. I never really got into the streamer world. Like i watch highlights and the videos these people post on youtube, but I dont really watch any livestreams, so i missed out on this era of Twitch. I kinda regret it a little, but I also dont because some of these people like minx are good people that got put in bad situations. I would have felt very uncomfortable seeing their downward spiral. Too many idols turning into terrible people these days.

i genuinely feel bad for her. don't really know the whole drama and haven't been watching her for a couple of years, but she doesn't seem like a bad person. and it feels like people aren't treating her fairly. of course, you can't blame all of your mistakes on mental health, but it's youtube drama, man. everyone has done/been accused of something shady. and it seems like people are just ganging up on her for some reason. she's not by any means a saint, but it does feel unfair and sad. life sometimes is very cruel
@several.3 ай бұрын
It is entirely her fault, she ruined relationships and events by turning up to streamer parties three times as drunk as anyone else, constantly did erratic things like diving on tables, running at mountain lions, pretending to be on medication "for a bit" and not clarifying at all when people try to stop you drinking. HS Kids do this, not adults, not famous adults and certainly not famous adults on live camera. People can handle these streamer personalities when there is an off switch, Minx did not have that button. In fact any slight resistance she gets she claims it's due to her BPD, which even if true, only further reinforces she is not someone to affiliate with when you have an online career.

@@several. those are pretty irresponsible and problematic things, you're right. still though, hope she gets proper help. alcoholism is a really tough thing to power through, especially with mental issues. again, in no way this excuses this kind of behavior, but it is really a pity that her story has turned out this way. i think it's just pure chance that we got to see a thing like that unfold and be documented, but it's really scary how many people struggle with these issues it's understandable why, let's say, alcoholism is generally frowned upon and is considered a sign of "hitting rock bottom", but still is very sad mental health is very important and a lot of people don't take it as seriously as it should be taken sadly but still thanks for the explanation, i understand this story a bit better now

@@several. She has a disease, and mental health issues, bozo. It's super obvious. Before she got involved with the people who very obviously don't care about her, she was consistently a decent human being. The woman is obviously depressed, and has an addiction to alcohol. Couple those two things with being around terrible people who are using her for internet clout. She's very obviously gonna look like a terrible person.

@@several. problem is that her friends encouraged that behavior and then left her behind when she finally became too much to handle. with better friends she might've not had turned out like thi, which is why I feel bad for her. Of course she's responsible for her own circumstances, but the lack of support in her environment play a part too.
@several.2 ай бұрын
@@Thomas48484 Maybe, but from what I can remember (and that may be false) but I'd recall after every streamer party that Minx did x and made everyone x, maybe I didn't watch closely enough but it seemed like only ever her direct friends would "encourage" her behavior, but even with them, QT literally gave her another chance and she still fucked it up, that was support, and I'd have to imagine if she'd risk losing her own projects integrity, she has offered other lifelines and support which wasn't appreciated. It's sad, but some people you cannot help until they decide to help themselves, she's still in denial of even being an alcoholic.

I have had struggles with both alcohol and mental health. Even when you stand to lose everything you care for, it's still difficult to defeat. I am nudging close to 3 years sober now, and in hindsight remember that weakness in my gut when I would start bargaining with the "I am a borderline alcoholic, I just need to know my limits". Thankfully I had people here to help me through it. I feel nothing but sympathy for minx. She got conditioned to feeling rewarded for her self destructive behavior falling even deeper in the hole that I was all too accustomed to. I hope she gets herself together, stops drinking, and get her meds and therapy right. She still has plenty of time for a bright future. Same for anyone else reading this that is going through the same. I'm 44 and feel like I still have so much life ahead of me. You also have plenty ahead of you as well.

I used to be a huge fan of Minx, all the way back to Austin’s “Raj Patel” days. I discovered her through CallMeCarsons Love or Host. After that, any Twitch show that she was on, I was there. It’s been wild and incredibly sad to see the decline in her mental health and her struggle with addiction. Especially after watching her grow and become this huge streamer(up until the end of like 2023) I hope one day she can make it through this and return to streaming in a healthy way or maybe pursue the career she wanted before she choose to do this full time. That honestly might be best considering how it all went down.
